This restaurant is brilliant because it opens from lunch right through the day, unlike other restaurants that closed at 4pm and reopens at 7pm. Suits travelers like us who has not adjusted to local dinner time. Friendly staff, excellent chorizo sausage. Good wine and beer selection

Anyone can come in and go as they please. Be very careful with your personal effects! I got robbed of my purse that was right next to me, which had my house keys and documents. Could have easily been prevented by having someone at the entrance controlling people coming in and going, reservations etc.

We liked a lot our experience at Minga. There was a deal on Caipiroskas (150 pesos for 2), really strong ones. Plates are HUGE so the waitress kindly suggested us to share or to order half portions. The atmosphere suits the neighborhood by proposing a contemporary design and feel (the music is a "clubbing" one), ideal for a good dinner... More

After a few disappointing steaks in Argentina, I was desperate to find a good one. Minga did not disappoint. The steak was perfect, with a lovely chimichurri sauce. The roasted vegetables were a fantastic side dish. My boyfriend had a pasta dish which was also great. Definitely worth checking out if in Palermo.

Had a couple of good meals and some great drinks here in late December. The good was well above average but not totally amazing. Great drinks and good service. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. For a laugh look up the meaning of "Minga" in English slang!

I went to Minga with a group of 7. There are many better parillas in Buenos Aires. We all ordered steak and split sides. The food was ok, but not particularly exciting. We ate early (at 8:30pm vs. typical Argentine 10:30/11 dinner) because we were still adjusting to the time difference, so it was not particularly busy. The outdoor seating... More

Traditional Argentine fare. A bit pricey (which is what you expect in Palermo). The service was quite good. English is spoken too if you desire that. I had the ribeye which was good but not great. The sauces need a little bit more flair. My grien's Tagliatelle was very good. The side dishes are huge so everyone does not need... More

The ribeye is fantastic, the salad is more imaginative than most restaurants with asparagus, endive and nuts. The fries were crisp and plentiful. We couldn't really find fault. We came back a second time and found the service slow as they had a party upstairs, less waiters downstairs so we had to go up to the bar to pay the... More

I am a confirmed carnivore while my wife will invariably choose a fish option, so imagine our surprise when our food arrived at this steakhouse and her salmon was delicious, succulent and substantial, while my rib-eye was somewhat meagre and underwhelming. Service was friendly and engaging and we had a pleasant evening sitting on the balcony watching the beautiful people... More

Minga is my restaurant of choice whenever I am in Buenos Aires. As a vegetarian, I used to order the squash ravioli, but last time I ordered the ruccola gnocchi and haven't regreted it! It was very tasty. My husband also enjoyed his asado de tira.

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
