This restaurant was a real treat! Our concierge recommended this fine dining establishment. We are so happy we listened to them. Totally fresh and the flavors were so mouth watering, they didn't disappoint our expectations. WOW!!!! Diego made our experience over the top and the Chef, Samuel Gallegos exceeded our expectations. We will be going back here again tomorrow and... More

I've been here before but definitely things are going south. Since the very beginning we asked the waiter to avoid cilantro in our dishes. Each time every one came with cilantro. I insisted, so do they. Food was really fine but a bit of care in customer experience would have been appropriate.

Nice space in Palermo Soho. Good food and nice presentation. Loved the Pisco sours. The place is pricey for BA but you will have a solid meal with interesting flavors. Late arriving crowd. At 8:30 on Sunday night was empty but completely full by 10.

I tried this place because I had never tried Peruvian-Japanese fusion and wanted to sample the menu. It was very inventive and fresh. Expansive menu. The location in Centro was a little unassuming (it's within a bigger building). They have another location in Palermo that I'd like to try.

We had a really nice dinner experience in this restaurant even though the food was a bit expensive for buenos aires standards. The service is good and the products very fresh!

I had never tried Peruvian food but was delighted with the cuisine and Sipan. The ambiance is that of an upscale modern American restaurant- very trendy, low lighting, natural. We ordered a number of dishes to share. The amuse bouche of octupus was incredible (even if you are skeptical of octopus, you should try it!) we tried the pepper chicken,... More

Wanted to try something different in Buenos Aires, I tried this nice fusion restaurtant with a taste of japanese and peruvian gastronomy. Nice food, nice service, I advise to phone and reserve, especially on Friday and Saturday evening.

A slightly hidden gem up a short flight of steps and (surprisingly) right off Florida Street. Sipan is hip, gracious and the fare is absolutely delicious. A nice and knowledgeable waiter helped us make selections because it is an unusual cuisine. He recommended an "empanada" and we nearly declined since there are empanadas all over Buenos Aires...but this was like nothing... More

If you love ceviche and other fish dishes, or just a variety of well seasoned and beautifully presented food, then you will want to try Sipan Peruvian restaurant. Most of the food here is Buenos Aires is bland and tends to be primarily meat (the assados and parillas are good here) but the natives do not like well seasoned or... More

Staying in Retiro

Neighbourhood Profile
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighbourhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
