I remember this restaurant and I start crying because it's so far away. Amazing food at very convenient prices. Lovely waitresses and great local atmosphere.

A friend who grew up eating Sunday brunch here inviting me. The decor is rustic 1950's, other than the flatscreen television, which certainly was showing the Argentine World Cup game during theafternoon. We arrived at 830, place was empty. Within an hour, all tables for full. And it was a Wednesday. Steaks are perfectly cooked and ample. Cream spinach and... More

The first night we went here, it was heaving with locals - always a good sign. However, they managed to accommodate us. The food is Argentinian/Italian. We had variations of steak with and without sauces. The wine was very reasonably priced. We returned the next day - a quieter night with the owner in mourning because Boca had lost to... More

I loved eating at this restaurant when I was staying in Buenos Aires - the steaks are excellent and the portions generous. While I always found the owner to be attentive and friendly, the rest of the staff were generally the opposite, unfortunately.

The food was just ok. What stood out the most, though, was the service. Two waitresses who seem like they just hate every customer who walks through the door. I happily said "hola!" to one of them, who replied to me with "si...?", as she scrunched up her face. Very nasty looking. I asked the other one; -"¿Como estás?" -"Bien"... More

We are coming here for more than 5 years and it is a real treat every time. The owner Sergio had a really great staff. Lomo Azul is my favorite, but everything is delicious and the service is very friendly. We advise it to our guests as well as it is very close to our "Casa Luna" tango accommodation and... More

Good Italian food (homemade pastas) at very reasonable prices in an uncomplicated atmosphere. The restaurant was full however we were served fast and the waitress was very friendly and helpful with the menu. If you are in the neighbourhood give it a try!

This was near our hotel so we wandered over for lunch and soooo happy we did! Our Spanish isn't great so they found english menus for us and the owner came over to help with our ordering! I ordered from the 'menu of the day' - salad, fettucine and a really good dessert that I can't remember the name of!... More

I was the first customer for lunch on a Sunday. Since I was alone, I asked the waitress if they had half portion of a meat dish. She was affirmative and told me that it would be enough for one person. Once I had the check in my hands, she charged a full portion of the dish! Complained about it... More

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
