We went there after the good critics. All went bad as the AC was running like a rocket launcher... The wine was the worst we got in 3 weeks in Argentina And to finish the pasta were worst than what we can have in an airplane. My mushroom were still dry, pastas were like a block, all swimming in cream.... More

La Baita was recommended by the staff where we were staying. We were delighted with the food, service and atmosphere. I recommend for an Italian meal. Delish.

Very good Italian food, On Thursdays, sometimes they have a tenor singing typical italians areas like "Sole Mío" to "Torna Sorento". Nice place to have a dinner

It's fun to eat out on a busy Saturday night in Buenos Aires. This restaurant was recommended by our B & B and we were not disappointed. We had the Amatriciana and the fritto misto and were pleased and quite full! The owner is from Perugia--so there is an Italian connection.

We had high hopes for this restaurant based on glowing recommendations. It was fine, but I'd describe it as an average Italian restaurant. Nothing here to recommend it over any other Italian restaurant in any other city. (If you're looking for great Italian in BA, try Cucina Paradiso.)

ABSOLUTELY not, sorry to say, starting with the Colombian waiters. Second, the dishes were distasteful, chicken over cooked. Food is overpriced, so the wines.

We went with our little boy a few times on sunday at noon and each time were pleasantly surprised by the (genuine Italian) food and the reasonable check (hard to beat in Palermo Soho). I recommend you make a reservation through restorando to get the extra discount. Overall it has a friendly family atmosphere and attentive staff.

The food was ok, nothing great. Don't go out of your way for this place. The real problem I had with this place was the awful service. The waiter was very unfriendly and took forever to get anything. We watch as several tables left the restaurant because they had been sitting and never been helped. Again, the food was unimpressive,... More

This is surely one of the best Italian restaurants in Soho. Tried the risotto with shrimp and it was awesome! Plenty of shrimp and really well served! Prices are also good, and service was quick and waiters were very polite.

The Italian heritage of BA is in full force at La Baita. Though located in the Palermo SoHo Buenos Aries, you would think you were in Florence or MIlano. Our meals were exceptional and authentic. We dined on two Pollo dishes and a caprese salad. One salad easily fed two and the portions in the main course were all we... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
