Experience delicacy of seafood in pan and taste of fresh fish with local starters. Food is served by friendly waiters. The restaurant is convenient for families with children. Toilets are clean. It is open all seasons but it requires to make reservation in summer time to find a table close to the sea. One may bargain for wine and fish... More

Located by fishing boats and the fish dishes we tried were delightful. Good meze starters, but they were a little pricey ( try the aubergine in a honey dressing). Good service and fresh fruit (free)to round off meal

The Ali baba is a family owned resturant that prepares excellent local dishes. All the fish is fresh that comes from the CoOp fishing village next door. Wonderful.

This restaurant has stunning views over the harbour and is great for people watching. That's about the only positive thing I can say! The service was passable, the menu poor. Very few mere and some strange items..patrician Dali for example that turned out to be aubergine salad with a lump of melted cheese on the top. Portions were small and... More

Recommended by a shop-keeper (which you always worry about is just because it is a family connection or the like), this place offered us great, traditional food in the port of Yalikavak, altogether more Turkish and cheaper than anything you will find in Palmarina...Great standard of tasty mezze to choose from, the sea asparagus with garlic, and sun-dried tomatoes with... I have visited Ali Baba on quite a few occasions, sometimes for a meal and sometimes just for a beer, over several years and it never disappoints. The location overlooking the old harbour and fishing boats is a terrific place to watch the famous Yalikavak sunset. Hospitality is first class and the food rivals or betters other restaurants along the... More

Spent our last evening in bodrum here. Restaurant has great spot. Very friendly team made us feel very welcome. Food was good. People watching and setting shifted it right up a notch. Go for evening leisurely dinner and people watching potential.

The welcome was warm and the location of the restaurant being on the quayside made for a good start. The tables are spread well allowing you privacy and the decor is clean and tidy. We began our meal with a choice of meze including beans, seaweed, chilli salad and stuffed aubergine flowers. All accompanied with warm bread and ice cold... More

The service in Ali Baba was something to be desired, he billed us 50tl for a bottle of house white which he sis was Italian and is said made in Turkey, the food was bland in many ways. It is somewhere I wouldn't recommend and would never return to.

Our first day of our holiday wandering through the town in early afternoon and stopped at Ali Baba's for lunch and a drink.... Water front views were just beautiful.... We were the only people in the resaurant but the food and service was amazing... They make you so so welcome and as for the Prawn caserole mmmm... The Lamb kebabs... More
