Really good burger, and nacho chip bowls made with the local Santa Annas organic corn chips. Pair it with the CBC Crystal Weiss and you have a winning meal! The menu is not very diverse but you will find something to curb the hunger and you will leave stuffed as portions are generous. Great vibe, too. Excellent waiters. Just would... More

Extremely tasty food, drinks and a deli you can lose your mind in. I strongly recommend the moroccan mint tea and almond croissant. Great service and a decent price.

Friendly waiters made an effort to have a table available for us as we did not make a reservation. After that we waited way to long to be served and more than an hour for our food. The booking system didn't get the message to the kitchen we were told !!! Standard size milkshake @ R45??? or did I miss... More

Great service and interesting decor. The breads were amazing. Interesting items on the menu. The pastry items had some flaws but were tasty nonetheless. A must for any foodie.

It is just a treat to go into this building ..... When I was little this building housed one of the banks in town. I took my brother there a while back and he is a vegan .... he was in love with the smoothies as well as the breakfast. I've not had a bad meal in this place.

This is a classic Yuppie trap. Interesting aesthetics, although the old bank that used to reside there was also beautiful. Prices are over the top for anything that is not freshly made on the premises. That being said, the quality of the bread is exceptional. As a avid bread baker and a lover of quality bread, I bought a baguette... More

My partner and I stopped for breakfast here. Whilst a beautiful building and setting with ample staff we were ignored when entering and left to find a table ourselves. Our server eventually came over and asked what we wanted and seemed to be annoyed by our presence. After brining out coffees we were asked "do you want anything else?" In... More

I love Schoon - their breads and ambience is amazing. I must admit I am a bit nervous that Boschendal has taken over and is planning renovations. Not sure how it could be changed and keep the great character it has now..

I am aware that Schoon has recently changed ownership. Sure, you don't expect everything to be exactly the way it was but you expect the basics to be covered at least. I live a few meters up the road and have become a regular visitor to Schoon - whether it is a leisurely brunch or just a quick take-away coffee,... More

Schoon de Companje is the collaboration of artists all under one roof all in one family. Fritz Schoon started the small, yet unique and unpretentious De Oude Bakkerij in 2010.

De Oude Bakkerij received some sisters and brothers under the Schoon roof, namely; Nice To Meat You (Boutique Butchery), fannyChanel (Artisan Ice Cream), Het Wijnwinkeltjie (Boutique small scale wine shop), De Brasserij (local craft beer and local live music evenings), Het Roosterij (on site coffee roasting from various continents) we of course boast in a fresh fruits and veg section including surrounding cheeses such as Dalewood and Le Petit France.

This is just the birth of something greater to come...
