Breakfast was good but nothing special. Very cheap though. The store itself looks very nice and has a big assortiment.

Good venue for breakfast and lunch. Yummy fresh rolls with assorted cold meats, cheeses, steak ta tare (the best), . Delicious grilled German sausages with hot options of mash, veggies, sauerkraut, chips etc., Divine coffee!! Only negative was the awful chips, what happened?? Raiths chips were so good!!

Have been living in the City Bowl for 20 years and have been going to Raiths/Hartlief since we amoved to the city bowl. The variety is unbelievable and always great quality. I have always found all the staff helpful and for it it is always a pleasure to shop there. They get very busy at lunch times for their variety of... More

I first started frequenting this Establishment about 15 years ago. Over this time the produce and food offering has been consistently good. .... The staff on the other hand has been consistently poor. The behavior includes : Apathy , lethargic actions, scorn and contempt for customers. Hartlief. Has a large staff complement for the size of the establishment. Yet customers... More

Hartlief took over ... Quality went under. Pity but the quality of the all the products went down so much. The prices up though. Not the place it was. I am sad about the change.

Been going there regularly for the past 4 years, ever since we "discovered" Raiths which is now Hartlief deli. The food is always great and the soups are just too divine. I've even been caught having soup at 9am on a sunday morning - "nothing wrong with that" as a fellow soup eater once commented, and I wholeheartedly agree. My... More

If you need cheese, you'd trust the French. If you need chocolate, the Swiss are convincing. For cold meat and sausages, there is no place like this one. Having changed ownership not that long ago, we hope that nothing except the name will change!

I have been a fan for many years. They have friendly staff, great german meat specialties. I usually go for lunch as opposed to buy food to bring home and have never been disappointed. The style is that you order from the counter and pay at the counter and then take your food to your seats. There are only a... More
