I visited Mitchell's twice during a recent trip to Cape Town. What a wonderful place. I did not eat any food there, but what was coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled divine. My quest rather was to drink some good South African craft beer. I was not disappointed. Mitchell's is at the V&A Waterfront, perfectly located near the... More

If you are near the beach front and would like to sit have a beer eat something and relax, mitchell's bar is the place. Nice food ( fish and chips, rump fillet) descent cocktails and nice service. Worth to pay a visit. No wifi for those who are interested

The place is well situated outside the V& A mall and has a nice vibe because of the tourists stopping by. The welcome and service are ok. The food not too bad. You go more for the music and the live band, for my part when I attended was really good and it felt nice dancing at the end of... More

The ales were good, service was however very slow. Setting is great with an outside view of the busy Waterfront and Cape Town Wheel.

We had lunch here yesterday and it was really disappointing. It's a great location and nice looking bar but the food was really poor. My ribs were dry and had been reheated and were chewy, my wife's wrap was tasteless. The staff were friendly but what really finished it was that costumers are allowed to smoke in the bar. Definitely... More

The pub is situated in the Waterfront, which is a great attraction for many, especially tourists. The vibe of the pub was awesome, which goes hand in hand with the great beers we have tasted. Generally good service received and it made the eperience worthwhile!

A great spot for enjoying some great local draft beers. Food selection adds to the enjoyment and live music tops the experience. Was always busy which speaks to its popularity.

We popped in here for a snack - we shared a pizza, which was decidedly average and a salad, which was quite good. The beer range was good. The big downside for us was the people smoking in the pub - it's disgusting, in the U.K. it is banned to smoke inside and, to my mind, it should be everywhere.

We met up with some colleagues of a friend for an impromptu farewell. We used the spacious, newly refurbished venue upstairs. This was ideal for a bigger group and a good choice in bad weather. Our waiter was attentive and after waiting for our first drinks for a while, the waiting period decreased. Our host ordered seafood and chicken baskets... More
