The last review being 2011 should have been a clue, but my wife and I still looked for Brio. It's gone. I hope this helps others. Seems TA should have a update option like yelp has.

3-4 stars more suitable - slightly over-rated. Nothing bad re the food or service, yet nothing outstanding or noteworthy either, and considering pricing which is towards the higher side I would say very "middle of the road". Decor and setting interesting though, and would make...More

A wonderful restaurant reminiscent of the 1920s/30s set in the Old Standard Bank Building. Dark wood, crystal chandeliers and a live band all takes you back in time. Feeling in the spirit of the 30s we had martinis at the quaint bar before going to...More

Brio is definitely in my top 3 favourite restaurants in SA. And currently one of Cape Town's best kept secrets. Think chandeliers, candelbra, marble walls, black and white tiled floors, a library with wood paneled walls and a roaring fireplace. Then take all of this,...More

We had dinner at Brio for the first time and what a unique experience. The Restaurant has a 1940's feel to it with a live band and singer performing throughout the night. The food was superb with the highlight being the Beef Wellington and the...More
