Panama Jacks

About
Born circa 1988, before the opening of the V&A Waterfront, Panama Jacks has evolved from a boatyard servicing the Royal Cape Yacht Club to a quality Seafood Restaurant known all over the world. Originally situated in Table Bay Harbour, in the working half of the Cape Town docks, Panama Jacks is unique in its setting with all the hustle and bustle of a commercial port going about its daily business. Take off your jacket, loosen your tie and come see what the fuss is all about!

We were in Cape Town for the first time in five years and near the top of our list for a revisit was Panama Jacks. We were a little concerned about some of the reviews and yes the terminal building doesn't have the charm of...More

Both my friend and I were bitterly disappointed. The new location is a huge tourist trap next to the busy cruise terminal and lost all its authenticity from the previous venue . We were not greeted at the door so tried to seat ourselves near...More

Trying to relive the past just does not work for me.....in a modern building and all the old furnishings....so sad! It was a Friday night and not even half full. The service was very friendly...the food just OK...went with a few foreign guests to relive...More

Regrettably the new setting, albeit lovely, has lost some of the previous location's charm. Food still great, but we did not get good service.

Panama Jacks is certainly not as well known as it should be given it's great harbor-side venue, good food and reasonable prices. You have to go to the Cape Town Cruise Terminal at Table Bay Harbor to find them and they're up on the second...More

This stays one of our favorite restaurants in the Cape. Food is well priced and finger licking good. Do not mis their Banoffee pie

Visited the new premises with the family for lunch, the food was good we had some platters. The service was good. Had no sea view as there were people Boarding some boat right in front of the restaurant. Prices are relevant. Highly recommendable.

Dont be fooled because this restaurant is at the Cape Town Cruise terminal. It is expensive, overated and staff not friendly. Not value for money at all. I would not visit them again. There are 100% better restaurants at the Waterfront.

Nice menu offering a great variety. We had one of their seafood platters, great experience. Beautiful view and decent prices at a nice and upcoming rough location. I will definitely be back!
