The Bosvelder serves true traditional home cooked style dishes with man size portions still being man-size portions. The service is great, the atmosphere is friendly and the food is excellent!

A very popular "kuierplek" with a wide variety of real "farm" food and specialties like afval, skilpaadjies, excellent steaks, venison, pies etcetera being complimented by a wide selection of beers on tap and other "coolants"

They have a diversity of food which makes it a real treat to take your family there for a meal. They have live shows as entettainment on certain days which is great. The service is excellent, the staff knows the menu off by heart and can guide you to which meal they think you would like.

Great place for an authentic Afrikaans meal. Special favorites include skilpaadjies, the best that I have tasted. Great beers, vibe, dancing on the weekends and a great place to watch the rugby. Great experience for foreigners also. Friendly and efficient staff and play area for the children.

Description
Die Bosvelder is closer to a holiday in the veld, than a mere eatery. This restaurant and pub offers a unique experience where the traditional South African lifestyle can be enjoyed. A restaurant with no pretences, Die Bosvelder is true to its name. Wooden furniture and a unique African feel await the diner. It is as South African as a restaurant can get, the people included. Die Bosvelder epitomises traditional South African-ness. It offers wonderful food, laid-back ambience and the friendliest service you're likely to find in Africa. The bushveld is a South African trademark and this original concept restaurant has kept the allure and feel of the veld. The interior and the food pays homage to one of the country's favourite destinations. Eat "kaiings", pofadder or skilpadjie, while enjoying the African sun on your back.
