Had a lovely lunch with friends. I had the Beyerskloof burger which was absolutely delicious and the meals my friends had looked great as well. The service is a bit slow but otherwise great!

We popped in for lunch on our way home from George to Plett, so we're looking for something quick and easy. We were pleasantly surprised by the tapas menu, which was exactly the kind of meal we had in mind. Three of the four dishes were great, the fried Haloumi, crumbed mushrooms and the hake goujons. Sadly the fourth, Greek... More

Our lunch at Blue Olive was such a disappointment! I ordered Thai Green Curry and my partner Fish & Chips. Both were not what we expected. The curry was just seafood on top of rice - no coconut milk like Thai Green Curries are supposed to have. Both dishes were pretty bland too. Definitely not worth the prices charged! Our... More

The Blue Olive was not our first choice, considering TA reviews. But we wanted our dinner early before the recommended restaurants opened, and it turned out to be the only choice. The service was swift and pleasant. As linefish of the day we were recommended the Kingklip and it was the best we've had in a long time (and we... More

This was our go-to place when we visited in 2012. The place had a special appeal, cosy, comfortable and slightly bohemian/arty. We spent many happy hours (no pun intended) there. Sadly all this was lost after the recent upgrade. It now feels cold and impersonal. Glad to say the food is still of the high quality we had then. Service... More

New decor is great. Evening music terrible and much too loud. Manager not helpful. Sunday live music good but too loud. Could not get away from the smoke. Spoils everything.

A nice place in lovely grounds with good food but a few service issues. The waiter didn't know much about the wines although he did let us try a couple first. The first 2 bottles we chose they didn't have. Then the main course arrived while we were still not finished the starter.

Tried the restaurant yesterday after the alterations. Décor bland, no flowers on tables. Lovely fire as the weather turned. Sirloin steak tasty but when I asked for mustard I was told since the renovations, they do not keep mustard!! How crazy is that with the Spar a few steps away! Corkage R35 when the restaurant opposite charges R10!! ( for... More

My friend and I visited the new blue olive. We had a great time sitting on their road side table. The service was friendly, quick and efficient. Our food was great and presentation was top notch. Keep working hard to build the new Blue Olive! You will see us again soon.

We visited your restaurant on Sunday to listen to Steve Newman, but unfortunately the experience was below average once again. We thought things would change with new management, but clearly not. It is such an awesome venue, you must really focus on your service, quality and presentation of the food and the ambiance. Firstly, we couldn't hear the music outside... More
