Great service, lovely meal, lovely wine and craft beer. Good location for going on to bars after. Nice bread.

We sought out this restaurant because of its vegetarians and vegan selections. We were disappointed; they were mediocre at best. The staff, however, couldn't have been more helpful and lovely
On our whirlwind tour of SA, we were fortunate enough to have selected this venue for our first dining experience in South Africa. It didn't disappoint. The soft lighting and layout worked to our advantage as we were a haggard, jet legged bunch. The food...More
We have not been to Melville for some time and ventured back because of the really good write ups posted on Lucky Bean and because of the menu which has a nice blend of vegan dishes for my wife. Despite it being a little chilly,...More
Found this gem via TripAdvisor and was not disappointed! Brilliant food, marvelous hosts and a stunning venue. My wife ordered hake and I, the short rib, we licked our plates... Highly recommended and will be going there soon and often.
My first experience of SA cuisine was in this amazing restaurant. The food was spectacular, the staff friendly and the atmosphere relax. I can't recommend this gem highly enough!

Really enjoyed the atmosphere and food at this tiny place. Johannesburg has some great spots but you just need to do your research before going. This is one of those hidden gems. A very romantic place to dine out, too.
The food is nice (I took the ostrich filet and my boyfriend the ostrich burger), the atmosphere really cosy and the staff very friendly.
