I wish more people would support the Wednesday draw. There is such a lovely atmosphere here and the club try very hard to create a friendly atmosphere. There are hot snacks served at 5.30 and the drinks are at a discounted price between 5-6 The draw takes place at 6.30 and a light meal is available for R55

A pre-luncheon aperitif in the bar (the building dates from 1904) is a fine starts to the meal that follows. Friendly service by Eric, Kenneth and Davey makes Sunday lunch something special. Three courses - including delicious choice of desserts from a trolley - can satisfy any palate. The Baked Camembert followed by Cajun grilled line fish is perfectly prepared... More

I love a quiet Sunday lunch here - old fashioned and lovely. Drinks in the bar while u decide on your meal. A lovely three course meal follows - choices are available for each course

A typical old-school 3 course Sunday lunch with a cheeseboard and coffee - what more could one ask for. A historical setting with solid, well-prepared food, sparkling white tablecloths, decent service and perfectly chilled wine. Not too many of these establishments remain. Charming, serene and worth another visit.

The PE Club is a lovely place to enjoy meals and have a wonderful Sunday Lunch . They offer conventional food and it is presented very well . There is a peaceful atmosphere and it seems very popular with the senior generation

Historical buildings to visit are not that many in Port Elizabeth and historical restaurants even less. 'The Club' is one of those. The building is more then 100 years old and design and interior are nicely kept. A perfect service, linen tablecloths and traditional 3 course menu is what you get. Food is well prepared and far from beeing fancy.... More

Who could resist a traditional Sunday Lunch with a fine dining difference? A choice of two starters, three main courses (including meats and line fish), a scrumptious dessert trolley (or cheese and biscuits) and a gracious, relaxing venue - with Kenneth, Eric and/or Davey in personal attendance. Give yourself a treat!

Description
Originally a 'Gentlemen's Club' dating back to the late 1880s, the magnificent and gracious building has been refurbished as advocate's offices, retaining the original architecture and ambiance of yesteryear, including the elegant restaurant/dining room - now open to the general public - and the comfortable Gentlemen's Bar for refreshments while waiting for Eric or Davey to invite you to the dining table to commence your repast.
