We decided to eat from the buffet lunch - and there is a special name for it - which escapes me at this time. There was chicken, quiche, salads, vegetables - and then they weight your plate and that's how you pay. First of all, we thought it was really reasonably priced and the food was very nice - you... Got this from TripAdvisor, a real nice place for a quiet lunch. The food was very good and so was the service.

Called in for a drink only. Reasonable choice of gins - which was what we fancied. Now non-smoking throughout. Menu looked interesting and service was fine. There's an interesting craft-type shop adjoining which is also well worth a visit.

The restaurant offers nice dishes for lunch. You pick from a variety of dishes and the serving staff weigh your plate and you pay what you chose. All very fresh and tasty. Excellent place.

The quality of this food, the subtlety and expense of the input on the plate from the kitchen, is hand over fist better than anywhere else on the restaurant strip in Grahamstown. Lots of places present themselves as trendy, high quality boutique but after all the meal is somewhat disappointing with an exception here or there. But not at Haricot's.... More

After enjoying a good supper the night before, we needed a picnic for 12 people, so headed back to Haricots to see what the deli could offer. Although they didn't have a great deal on offer that day, the kitchen kindly created a lovely chicken dish with two different salads. This was a fantastic feast for travellers who craved piles... We went for dinner st haricots last Friday night. Very good meal. Unfortunately every time we go there, there's something not available. Their fillet is normally one of the best things on the menu, but alas last week no fillet and the rump was very ordinary. I had a mellanzane which was absolutely delicious and my friend had a burger... More

Came down for the Science festival in Grahamstown on Monday, had lunch at this restaurant. Warm welcome from the waiter, Sim. He sat us down, explained the menu and recommended the burger and harvest table for in case we were in a hurry even though he was busy. Best service, not just our table but others as well, I noticed... More

Our niece took us here on our first night in Grahamstown. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and the service was very good. We do suspect that one of our party may have had a bad prawn in her pasta as she was very ill for the next four days but we are not sure - it could have been something... More
