Dined here on Easter weekends. The staff was very friendly and helpful but the food lacked the quality. Asked for hot Vindalo and was not anywhere near hot. Also, the gravy was watery. The portion size was good and the price was also reasonable. I am a big fan of hot curries; it was not up to my expectations.

Chicken in some meals was undercooked not just a little but basically raw. Those meals were also nearly cold, suggesting they were not freshly cooked rather reheated. After saying they would remove the cost of the meals they then tried to charge us for them. A disappointing experience

Was really craving Indian and decided hubby and I would have it as it's been a while since we've had it from here. I must say I was a bit disappointed in the flavour. The punch wasn't there. Not as in spicy because we get mild but just the usual flavour punch was missing. Also the lids on both my... More

very average food and service, nothing special but at $21 curry price for a lamb rogan josh you won't expect runny gravy and a few pieces of mutton not even lamb. Trying to explain to the manager, who hardly understand English, was a daunting task. Would not recommend to anyone.

I have been to this restaurant several times and always had good experience. But it seems like it has got new Napelese management. The guy on the front counter who claims he is the new owner was wearing a dirty cap and other cloths. Not a nice look. The food was flavourless and over priced. Chicken was chewy. We left... More

I was staying in Ashburton for two days. Found this restaurant on trip advisor. I ordered one chicken korma and some onion bhajees. The chicken was chewy and gravy too sweet. Onion bhajees were very oily and burnt. The whole night I had light stomach pain. Won't be eating Indian for a while now. The service staff seemed friendly but... More

Great service! Despite us keep changing orders, the waitress (im not sure whats her name but she is Nepalese) did not get annoyed or anything and gladly took our orders. Great food here as well, i would recommend their lamb kebabs and curries (butter chicken and mango). If you're dropping by Ashburton, please do drop by here :))
