This is the only regularly served food on the island. Access is up outside metal stairway. The Filipino cooks serve up a fine variety (usually 4 entrees, several sides, good vegetables). The salad bar was as good or better than most small or mid-sized town cafes in the lower 48. The desert cooler had 6-8 options (not counting the 2... More

We were here with St. Paul tours and the package included three meals a day. I was surprised at the variety in this cafeteria. Usually several entree choices. Always something I could enjoy. Every meal included white rice. Variety of deserts usually including cookies. Was nice to be able to walk in and instantly be able to sit down to... More

Trident cafeteria is pretty much what you might expect. It is the fish processing worker's cafeteria. The nearby Aleut Store--the only grocery store on the island--rarely has fresh produce, so if you want a salad or fruit then you might find yourself paying $15 to $25 for a meal at Trident. This is not handicap accessible and it is located... More

This cafeteria features at least 3 or 4 entree choices for each meal plus plenty of sides and a well-stocked salad bar. The cooks are eager to please and ensure everything is at the right temperature. Since meal hours are limited to about 90 minutes, the food is not sitting out for hours at a time. I was able to... We came to St. Paul Island (hosted by the local TDX Corporation) to do some birding. As Bill and Richard before me stated, there's only one place to stay and one place to eat. I thought it a bit odd to walk into a fish factory, though the halls, and into the company cafeteria to eat. Many of the workers... More

A great place for wildlife. I was to see close to many different species it is difficult to see elsewhere. The highlights were the tufted puffins, arctic foxes and crested auklets. Facilities are basic (see my review of the King Eider Hotel) but the wildlife experience more than outweighs this. Nobody should go to St Paul expecting good weather as... More

If you are on St. Paul in the Pribilofs, you are either a birdwatcher, a fisherman, or you have business with the native corporation. Either way, there is but one place to stay (The King Eider Hotel) and only one place to eat - The Trident Cafeteria. I'll write this from my experience as a birdwatcher who visited in mid-May...
