This restaurant offers a menu that specializes in home cooked seafood and fish dishes. We had an excellent fish entree which was cooked perfectly and delicately seasoned. The waitress service was attentive and very friendly, and the dishes were served in a timely fashion. The garden setting is gorgeous and though the locale is a bit far from the hotels,... More

We had a lovely dinner here one evening, all our meals (9 people) were excellent. The service was great, the wine/drink selection was good.

We had excellent, friendly service when a group of us came for dinner. The entrees where really nice, but the mains where only OK. Very large portions. Needs a fish dish, that is not crumbed or battered. Wear your jandels as the ground is all sand.

Good food, friendly staff and cozy place. We biked there under a tropical storm: we got there absolutely soaked in water. The staff kindly gave us towel and fed us with beautiful fish, local vegetables and tasty pork. A must go if you are in Aitutaki!

Open for dinner Tuesday through Friday. The lamb salad was nice, as was the flambeed banana dessert. Cute place, low key.

I am surprised by the lavish reviews. Yes the place is very quiet in the greenery - don't expect any view -. Friendly welcome and service yes. But nothing outstanding for the food good yes but very highly priced. For roughly the same total amount you can have a far better dinner elsewhere on the island.

Cafe Tapuna (Tapuna's) is a 'MUST DO' during all my/our many trips to Aitutaki. The food is fresh, local and prepared with love and skill to provide an authentic and first class island dining experience. A small diverse menu, with exceptional seafood dishes including Ikamata (a favorite) and the mud crab is world class every time! Book ahead for mud... More

Simply the best on the island. The ika mata & island curry are the highlights. Service is a bit patchy, but Aunty Tupuna's kitchen is where the locals go to celebrate.

Just a small well put togather restaurant in the heights of Aitutaki, friendly staff, only seats a small number. A special of coconut crab worth the visit and a very good price, not sure they always have it. Nice break from the hotels.

As a couple we dined several times at Tupuna's Restaurant. The delicious food never disappointed. If your heading that way, I highly recommend Tupuna's flambéed bananas, just sooo good. With a great atmosphere, add to this, the waitresses are happy, helpful, and polite. See you again next year. (Really)
