Food and ambience

Silvestre is located in one of San José's finest old neighborhoods, inside a house with a 1930's facade, where history becomes the story and XXI century culinary techniques collide with the origins of Costa Rican cuisine. 3 ambiances filled with art, great food and good music.

Mascaradas menu with wine pairing. Service and explanations excellent. Service great. Wines were very good but pairing a bit off. Two dessert courses too much and a bit rich. Great dining experience though.

There were several families dining the night we were there. But I'd say it depends on the 10 year old.
