La nonna that owns the restaurant is a special person, so are the wailers that make you feel in home. They claim they use as much products from Italy to get a particular taste. The pizza, any that you ask for, particularly I love the "marinera" ( sea food ) with a crunchy dough and good sea food, has a... More

Run by Italians, very authentic and inexpensive. The decoration is not great, but the service and the quality are.

If you are in the easter side of San Jose, near Zapote, Curridabat or San Pedro is worth stopping here for a great wood oven baked pizza. As in every good italian restaurant, take your time to have a good conversation with your friends or a good book the wait is worth your time. Sizes are large, the cheese is... More

It is like having lunch at grandma's home, the ambiance is so familiar, the attention is very particular and the food is excellent. You have to have patience because everything is fresh, so it takes a while but it worth it. My favorite is tuto mare pizza. The wine of the house is served in big quantity, Montelpucciano.

If you are desiring something other than the American chain restaurants, local casados and bocas, then you've come to the right place. It is not Michelin star quality, but it's good, decent fare that will fix your fancy food bone. The meats are good and they've got a decent selection of antipasti treats as well.

Mama and papa´s home cooking, great taste, decoration could be improved, pizza and calzone delicious, fish filet al cartocho was great, as well as the antipasto. A bit pricey but worthwhile to visit

We come here about once a month purely for the real Italian homemade food in a small setting. What makes it so special are the owners- a quirky, lovely older Italian couple, that have a great love and pride for their small little restaurant. The wife usually cooks and the husband usually serves us (he speaks a mix of Spanish-italian-... More

If you have a craving for pizza, this place would be a good choice. It is a not-too-fancy restaurant but the pizza was thin crust and tasty and the service was friendly. It was hard to find a wood fired pizza place in San Jose and although it took around 20 minutes to get there by taxi, everyone in my... More
