It was a little off the beaten path from where the rest of the hotels are. We got chicken nachos, margaritas and shrimp and fish skewers. Most of the food was great. The fish skewers were not but we should have known you're going to get tough fish on a shish kebab and it's not going to be flaky. The... More

We took a family of 10 there after the farmers market Friday night. Dinner was excellent. I recommend the ceviche and the guacamole with plantains. Pina Colada from the bar was excellent. Good value.

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel. This is an open air restaurant on a busy street. When we walk in smell of exhaust and old fish was strong. We were greeted by a stone faced young woman. When we asked if she spoke English she stared at us, as if she has never heard this asked before. We asked... More

You can't go wrong with either the ceviche or the fresh red snapper. Make sure you order the homemade patacones with the ceviche as well. It's where locals eat and has been around for years.

Our concierge recommended this little place to get away from the tourist traps and enjoy some great seafood, and Kukula did not disappoint. We had the shrimp ceviche to start, which was flavorful and just the right amount of acidity and herbs. I had the fish fillet with lemon garlic sauce, which was perfectly cooked and delicious with rice and... More

We were referred to this little gem by our surf instructor. We had a car, so getting here was no problem. I'm sure you could take a cab as well. We had guacamole and chips, a quesadila, and really delicious ceviche! It was so good and really affordable too.

Kukula is an easy walk from quepos and worth it every time. I always visit when I'm in Quepos sport fishing and just love it there. they will cook your catch if you like and will do an awesome job. Do yourself a favor and go to Kukula for dinner at least once (order the Civiche appetizer and the Seafood... More

Cozy family restaurant with excellent food. Good service. About a 300 yard walk after crossing the bridge in Quepos. Worth the trip.

We had a very adequate meal this evening at Kukula. The food was fresh and all tasted good but really not worth $80 USD + a $5 cab fare each way. We could have ordered something similar at our hotel with much better ambiance and perhaps $20 more. A super casual atmosphere with closer to "fine dining" atmosphere.
