Given the remote location and the difficulty to find, you arrive with high expectations. The food is good and fresh but not exceptional. Dinner for 4 with a bottle of wine (the only white wine available) was nearly US$90. The directions in Lonely Planet are not accurate or helpful. We also found true what is frequently said that locals dearly... More

Very difficult to find off the main road from quepos from outside it looks like a shack but inside it is full of charm. The floor is covered in pieces of tiles, the tables are from bits of wood. The owners husband and wife he is the fisherman and she is the cook . Excellent mariscada sea food platters etc.... More

Excellent mariscada in garlic sauce. However it is much smaller in size than what is offered for the same price at other marisquerias. The restaurant itself is lovely with very nice owners.

Place is tucked away in a small neighborhood 3 minutes from town off the road going from Quepos to Costanerra, easy to get too. Food was rich and well prepared. Try the mixed ceviche and the Mariscada, can't miss. Family run, very nice people.

This place was so good we came here twice. It certainly isn't a cheap place which you might expect when you arrive but the seafood is so fresh and good. The mariscada was out of the world and the staff are very friendly

We had a great seafood lunch at this local and authentic seafood restaurant, the seafood was fresh and tasty, the portions were generous, we highly recommend this local restaurant if you are looking for a off the beaten path experience, away from resort dining and touristy restaurants near Manuel Antonio

We decided to try something more authentic than the over-priced restaurants in the Marina area...the place is up a hill...and looks like some old shack that a family is living in...but once you get over the ambience...or lack of it...the food is extremely good...seafood is fresh...probably caught that same day... Lobster tails - 8/10 Jumbo shrimp - 8/10 (nicely seasoned)... More

If you're looking for a slice of Costa Rican life, away from the (overrated and overpriced) tourist joints in Manuel Antonio, then you must come here. The seafood is fresh, tasty, made to order. The restaurant restaurant is quaint, Just out of town (the taxi driver will know how to get there) but once you arrive, it's like you've been... More

WORST night I've experienced during our stay in Costa Rica. When we got there, we were appalled at how rundown this place was. The location is off of the main roads and the outside looked like a shack with dogs whimpering and barking outside. Don't even get me started on the inside.. There were no people inside even when it... More

As many of you, we were looking for a nice place to eat fresh seafood near Manuel Antonio and Quepos. We omitted the more popular recommendations and went to Jiuberths. The place is up in a hill and it's runned by a very couple. I had a mixed ceviche (fish, octopus, shrimp) which was superbly fresh. My partner had a... More

Fisherman and family catch and cook fresh seafood daily. Very inexpensive yet clean, well portioned food with extra attention from owners. What you see on the platter is what is available today.
