We had lunch here two days in a row. The food was tasty, the prices were good, the location is convenient and the service is nice! I'd definitely recommend it to anyone in the area.

Such a delicious homemade meal! We were a group of 10 and ate lunch at this place since it was at the corner of the vacation home we had rented. The owner was super nice and set up a table for us. The food was so good, that we cleaned up our plates! we even thanked his wife, who is... More

This place has the best food in Manuel Antonio. Their Casados (typical Costa Rican dish) and guac was great. My absolute favorite was the arroz con pollo- getting hungry just thinking of this dish. We went back and got take out twice!! Must go if you are visiting. Very authentic food and very friendly staff! Can't wait to visit again... More

We ordered carryout "casadas" from Restaurant Angel when we were in Manuel Antonio this past week. These are tasty "home cooked" traditional Tico meals that include a meat (great pork chops), rice, beans, salad, and a few other things. 3 meals with extra pork chops thrown in that cost under $20 total was more than enough food for 2 adults... Stopped for lunch. Closed on Sunday! Menu is local, fresh and good. Family run, looked like mom, dad and a young son. Nothing fancy or high class, just good. We both had casados, one with chicken and one with fish. Casado is a classic Costa Rican lunch with rice, beans, salad and sometimes potatoes. We tried them in many different... More

Typical Costa Rican food which I've had a lot of, but the chicken was some of the best I've had. Very friendly atmosphere, good filling food, and can get it all for under $7 usd

If you want local ambience, you've got it: you can sit at a table that is six feet away from the road. :-) Seriously though, I did enjoy the ambience because it was like a lot of the sodas I've seen but nicer. We ordered four different dishes and each one was thoroughly enjoyable. Most surprising was how low the... More

Ok. If you want really authentic Costa Rican food that is perfectly prepared then this is the place for you. No atmosphere, just a few wooden tables and a really cute waiter (he's 12) and get ready for delish food. I had vegetarian Casada and my fiancé had chicken soup and tropical salad. The smoothies are EXCELLENT and we had... More

This resturant is under new ownership and is a small "soda" cafe which servers 25 people. As group of 17 there every evening and did not want to try anywhere else becasue the food was so good . The service is good as well. The prices aare almost 1/2 the cost of other cafes . I am a 30 year traveler to Latin America and the small cafe is a true gem. Please allow it to be mentioned on Trip Advisor they must compete against the big guys but they are better.
