Its been around for 30 years or so, so they must be doing something right. But the place is only average, combination bar/ restaurant next to the hotel. Few locals hanging at the bar having beers. Lots of seating but pretty empty when we were there. Meal was completely underwhelming by other Tico standards. No expensive but overpriced for what... More

I really like this place, but often hit or miss. A great place to go if you're on a budget. I've had burgers there when they were good. This last trip was an off night. The burgers were dry and I had to send my Pina Colada back. Don't order a Pina Colada. All in all, it's a great place... More

My husband and I visited this restaurant the last time we visited Costa Rica in 2013 and enjoyed it so much that we stopped in again on our way to Playa Grande on our 2nd trip! We both ordered and enjoyed the Gallo Pinto for breakfast and enjoyed the authentic Costa Rican meal. The place has a really fun vibe... More

Other reviews of this place sounded so great, so we made a point to come here. Not sure what all the hub-bub was about. Food was average at best and prices weren't that much cheaper than anywhere else. We did have fun walking there from our hotel and doing a little "bar-hopping" on the way home. Met some fun and... The place was desolating: we only had french ries and beers since the plates of other guests looked very untasty.

We went here when the restaurant we planned to go to was closed on Mondays. The staff was nice but the food was just average. The prices were inexpensive.

Not the fanciest place in PG but good local food at decent prices, not as cheap as the local places in Matapalo and Huacas, but better than the other places in PG. Friendly host and decent staff, generous portions.

Ate dinner here and had a pleasant experience. Most entrees come with a pile of rice and beans, some also with fries. Mahi mahi and chicken dishes were good. The restaurant was full of locals, so you will get a good feel for local culture.

We came here the second night of our trip, after meeting some locals that showed us around, we ended up stopping at Kikes for dinner and drinks!! The food was great, super friendly atmosphere.... We had the shrimp and rice and it was a huge meal! We also played pool and met a lot more local people here... all in... More

It's a local place with regulars and visitors and people who are staying at the property. It's an eclectic mix of customers that fits the description as the place to go in Playa Grande. Menu is varied and includes hamburgers along with more typical fare. Food is good and reasonably priced and the service comes with a smile! Check it... More
