Went on successive nights as the food and service was that good. Over both visits we sampled a good selection so here goes. For starters, we had the spicy chicken soup, the yellow tuna sashimi and the ebi maki sushi roll. All drew good comments....Similarly so for the main courses - the sautéed prawn wok dish, the grilled yellow fin tuna and finally the tempura jumbo shrimp. My mouth is watering as I write this especially! The Carmenere wine we had both night was also good though a little surprising as the drink choice! Loved it!More

Although Asia Luna was our least favorite of the three Nayara restaurants, it was still in the upper tier of resort dining anywhere. Food was very good and service was great. Tough competition at this resort.

This is the weak link of all the restaurents in NAYARA resorts ( we tried them all ). This is a cute place by the children pool , the decor is colorful and simple , two waiter ( need three ) they are polite and...nice , but after taking the order , almost no more service .( no time to check on us or even pour water once ). The menu is simple. , we tried salmon sushi and duck salad ( best dishes ) , the tuna sashimi not fresh. . The steam sea bass HK style is a disaster , fish over cook and mix in a sauce and locust leave that is not mean to be HONG KONG style ( we were born there ). They may as well pan seared the fish instead. The curry chicken is ok , no dark meat ( in Asian yes ) and over cooked. Curry is very ordinary. The price of this place is as much as the refine restaurent AMOR LOCO ( should not be ). The chef here need to improve on the main dish and understand Asian cookingMore

The Ehi Maki just might be one of my favorite sushi rolls I have ever eaten!!! The Thai Seabass Cevieche was also very good. I would definitely recommend this little gem.

We went during a storm but the restaurant was nice and dry and the decor was interesting and eclectic. Good food. The kids and ourselves enjoyed the restaurant and the staff was very welcoming. Sushi, rice bowls, and fish is the menu.

We went for dinner when we were staying at the Nayara resort, and we really enjoyed the Japanese/Peruvian experience. -We were originally seated on the outdoor deck, but it seemed more like a lounge than restaurant. The tables were low (seemed more set up for...cocktails than dinner). I also felt the lighting was a little too cold and harsh. I prefer warmer lighting—and I think it’s more flattering. So I requested to be moved inside, and they were more than happy to accommodate us. -Inside, the decor was spectacular. It’s pretty small, but they did an amazing job with the space. There’s a gorgeous crystal chandelier centerpiece. The tables , chairs and barstools are all hand-painted in bright colors (mostly reds and blues). The tile mosaic floor is stunning. -My companion ordered the cocktail that had mango purée in it. They originally said they were out of the mango, but when they saw he was disappointed, they made an extra effort to make it happen. This was so appreciated by us! And he ended up loving the cocktail! I tasted it too and thought it was delicious—I really enjoyed the coconut-covered rim! -Orange and papaya marinated salmon nigiri were beautiful and very tasty. The one complaint is that the rice wasn’t perfect (a little dry). -We tried two sushi rolls—one was more standard (a riff on spicy tuna) and one was very unusual (it had plantain and chicken). We actually really enjoyed both. -We split the grilled yellowfin tuna which was well-prepared (a nice rare) and I think a steal at $16—some restaurants would charge double! -Our server, Kaylor, was absolutely phenomenal. He was so nice and outgoing! He gave us great recommendations on the menu. And we ended up taking to him for a while and he gave us some fantastic advice about what to do on the rest of the trip. By the end of the meal, we felt we had made a new friend!More
