We tried this Soda for Dinner one evening and the atmosphere was Costa Rican Quaint! Its on the main road driving into Fortuna so can be busy and load, we didn't mind. Great people and traffic watching :) The service by the young gal was delightful. Friendly and great service. I had the Cerviche with mucho garlic and my husband... More

We wanted a quick evening meal after a long transfer so tried this local "Soda" , even though it did not look too promising from the outside. It was a great surprise with good food and reasonable prices. The service was quick and the waitress was friendly.

We stopped here for lunch based on our guide Andres' recommendation and were not disappointed. Basic decor but with nice patches of green, clean toilets. Our selection had generous portions freshly prepared at low prices. Languorous service but friendly

We had lunch here, and really enjoyed it. The fresh fruit drinks were amazing - don't miss those! My wife had rice with chicken, and I got the chicken casado. Both were very good, and were generous portions. The grill they have out front to cook the food on is a nice touch, and what caught our attention to stop.... More

This restaurant looks promising: it has the typical old style Costa Rican construction and is decorated nicely with green areas. The food however was of very poor quality: stale tortillas, greasy meats, and tasteless drinks. The staff was kind and attentive but their food quality needs to improve especially if they advertise old-style traditional cooking methods.

My boyfriend and I stopped here on our way the La Fortuna Waterfall for lunch. We were sourly disappointed with the food here. I ordered a steak cosada and my boyfriend got the nachos. We also ordered some patacones. The only good thing about this meal was the patacones and its very hard to mess up a fried plantain. The... More

Great gallo pinto and eggs. Fresh squeezed juice. Filling and inexpensive! You know its good when its where the locals eat. Had a good dinner there as well.

This soda serves authentic Costa Rican food. The casados (typical mid day meal of rice, beans, fried plantain, meat and salad) were very well priced at 3000 col for a good amount of food. Rustic setting, picnic tables to sit at and well attended by the locals. Nothing fancy but a great stop for those trying to save a few... More

Some of the best traditional Costa Rican food around. I would highly recommend the casado and guava juice

I ordered a cheese quesadilla from this restaurant and it took a while to make. After I waited I got the cheese quesadilla which had no cheese at all. It was just two tortillas. Not a restaurant I will be going back to anytime soon.
