Skip this place.. Our family did not enjoy having dinner here. The waiter was really gentle and friendly but the food, very Inconsistent. I personally recommend other places in Alajuela or even in the nearby town of Santa Barbara de Heredia.

Based on these reviews, my family went to this restaurant. The prices are indeed good -- I had a whole fish stuffed with seafood for about $12 -- but this may be a case of "you get what you pay for." Of the four of us, I was the only one satisfied with my meal. The paella was dry and... More

Four of us ate here together; each ordered a different seafood platter. One enjoyed her whole stuffed fish. Another's mixed seafood plate with rice was too dry, with just partially cooked shrimp (replaced quickly). Mine was generally good, but included a partially cooked lobster tail. Another's plate was too salty. We came for an early dinner (5PM) and were the... More

We took a cab here from nearby Asclepios, because we were bored with their restaurant. This place was delish! I got 6 flavorful lobster tails for $18!

The whole fried fish (pargo rojo) is excellent and their ceviche is the best I've had in Costa Rica. For families they have a huge menu and the waiters have mostly been there for years so they know their stuff. Recommended! Berni

Great sea food in Alajuela. We order the whole fish (not stuffed) and ceviche. Both were excellent - the 5 year old also liked both and wanted more. Good value for the money.

The restaurant is clean and the staff is courteous and helpful but the food wasn't so great. The seafood medley and lobster was rubbery. My breaded shrimp was chewy at best. Ordered a margarita and it as a sour mix. Edible, but nothing to encourage a second visit.

Princesa Marina is actually a chain restaurant with quite a few locations in Costa Rica. This one is in Alajuela, right next to the church at the junction of Hwy 3. As its name indicates, it's basically a seafood place and my oh my do they do seafood! To give you an idea...they offer 12 different kinds of ceviche (marinated... More

This place was recommended by our hotel owner. He told us to get the lobster if on special no sauce or the whole fried fish Between 2 of us we ate an entire whole fried fish. It was yummy but needed a bit more seasoning - salt.
