I did not go there for the food. I went there, and it was not easy to find, to visit their sub-zero Snow Bar. Very cold+very fun. The Snow Bar has it's own separate entrance. They provide you with a heavy jacket, you will be thankful for. Then it's up to you. A Vodka, many choices and prices, in a... More

Fine traditional German fare with a Chinese touch. Crisp service and good wine and beer selection. The view is worth the price of lunch or dinner alone.

Been here a few times now and am becoming somewhat of a regular so thought it was time to repay the restaurant with an appreciative review! This is one of the best value brunches in Shanghai and the views aren't too shabby too with its riverside location, despite not having the benefit of a birds eye location like the Hyatt.... More

I frequented this restaurant when I was working in Shanghai. We celebrated many occasions. The service and attention to details is unparalleled. Whenever we miss certain comfort food, the Chef would try their best to make us happy. This makes up for the limited food menu. I must say that their wine is extensive and very reasonably priced for such... More

Been here many times when in Shanghai. I'll be there again next month. There's too many good things to say. Food is Fabulous ! Brunch, lunch and Dinner is Great. Everything is good about the place. The staff is wonderful and goes the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. The added benefit is the Ice Vodka bar. Ex-Pats will not... More

Their Sunday Brunch is a semi-buffet (soups, appetizers, desserts) while egg dish and main course a la minute. The package includes free-flowing Prosecco (this is what we came here for). Service is excellent - very attentive. The Assistant Manager visited our table quite a few times making sure that everything is fine. Overall experience is great! They even have an... More

Two friends and I were walking around the city and decided to stop here for lunch. Food and view were both terrific! Service was excellent too. The staff helped us get a cab back to our hotel after our meal. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a fairly upscale restaurant with a beautiful view away from the... More

Called by to experience the Kaefer snow bar. Its a copy of the original ice bar idea. Basically they've built a large walk-in fridge which has been decked out in translucent plastic "ice". To which a few shovel fulls of crushed ice have been added and a couple of dozen different bottles of vodka have been arranged around the bar.... More

Description
After carefully and beautifully renovating "The Binjiang One", BLN Restaurants & Caterings has partnered with KAFER, one of Germany's most well known companies for fine food and gourmet grocery, and opened the KAFER by The Binjiang One in the year 2011. Since then the restaurant at the Binjiang Avenue is serving inspiring contemporary European cuisine under KAFER's motto "passion for quality".

KAFER by The Binjiang One is ideally located on the banks of the placid Huangpu River, just a stone's throw from Shanghai's financial and commercial hub. While the restaurant is mere steps from Lujiazui, it is quietly tucked away from the surrounding lively streets into a beautiful and historic property known as the "You Long Garden".

The historic "You Long Garden Residence" was built in 1902 and is the storied sight where Emperor Qian Long berthed his dragon boat before embarking on a sightseeing tour along the shore (note: "you" meaning sightseeing and "long" meaning dragon).

BLN Restaurants & Caterings expanded the historic grounds to include a new glassed wing to take advantage of the building's idyllic setting along Pudong's waterfront, offering a stunning view of the romantic Bund across the river.

Staying in Lujiazui

Neighbourhood Profile
Lujiazui
When people speak of Shanghai’s futuristic skyline, it’s the financial district of Luiazui they are speaking of. Shanghai’s most iconic buildings are located in close proximity to Lujiazui’s elevated ring road and swanky eateries. Sky-high shopping and chic bars fill the highrises around the area. As is characteristic of a world-class financial business district, some of Shanghai’s best malls and hotels can be found in the neighborhood. While everyone on the famous Bund side of the river gazes in awe at these amazing structures, all the buildings here, as well as Lujiazui’s riverside promenade, offer great views of the historic buildings all along the Puxi side. The Lujiazui park often hosts music festivals throughout the year, and park goers can party and stroll in the shadow of some of the world’s tallest buildings.
