We are here again with friends. . Actually we are quite satisfied with everything except the timing. For a good quality restaurant it is not acceptable that one person get his food when everyone else have already finished. Also no explanation or even excuse when we complained.

Remembering the early days of that restaurant, it was big and location was really south of main part of the Bund, i thought it was risky bet to move there. I have to admit i was wrong, now it s full, it s a super good choice of chinese food for both locals and foreigners : clean, pretty good, not... More

This is a wonderful and relaxing place to eat. The food is fantastic and the dark black and red with wood in a traditional/modern Chinese décor. We ate at the windows on an upper level overlooking the street with the windows open and it was lovely. So relaxing and such great Yunnan food. I cant say enough about this place.

Wanted an authentic regional Chinese lunch and was recommended to go to Lost Heaven. Just walk down to the end of the Bund, turn right into Yanan Road and it’s a hundred yards on the other side, so very easy to find and is close to the river. The décor is traditional Chinese. The menu helpfully had descriptions in English... More

This is a unique place in Shanghai. Very nice setting, very nice service, and great food. We chose a selection of appetizers and main dishes and loved them all. They accommodate small tables and large group, and the bonus is a walk to the bund after dinner...

Had dinner here with a group. Lots of good food. We ordered many items. It's great for sharing. I can't name all of the dishes. But spring rolls, beef dishes, pork, chicken, fish and veggies. Very nice atmosphere. A little on the low light side. But very busy, lots of hustle and bustle. Nice friendly attentive service. I view this... More

A must go to in Shanghai. Lunch with dear friends and most special people. Spring rolls etc. etc. etc. out of this world. Try everything.

The food features the cuisine of a particular province of China. It was spicy, so be prepared. We went with a native Shanghai-er and she said the food was good and authentic. Order a few dishes and eat family style. The decor is beautiful, too.

The food is excellent, and during the summer, you can go on the terrace on top and have very relaxed drinks with and excellent view.

Staying in The Bund

Neighbourhood Profile
The Bund
While there are certainly many other “bunds” in the world, “the Bund” refers to Shanghai’s famous waterfront. The area’s Gothic, Art Deco and Beaux Arts monoliths were built when it was part of the Shanghai International Settlement run by the British and Americans. The atmosphere of colonial-era luxury has endured over time and is now found in the five-star hotels, luxury brand boutiques and expensive restaurants that can be found within the historic buildings. A cultural center has built up away from the water and some of Shanghai’s best art galleries and museums are housed close to the Bund. Nighttime views of Pudong and the rest of the city also make for a great backdrop at the many rooftop clubs.
