Restaurant needs a revamp . Food was average . Restaurant staff need to be a bit more courteous. During exhibitions around the area they are quite full .

If you are ever in Shanghai and crave for Punjabi Food. Than Huaihai Lu (Shanghai Punjabi Hotel) is the best place. Near to Pudong Airport and have good rooms to stay even.

If you are craving Indian food, this is a decent place to go. Not very spicy. Toned down to suit local tongue, but well made. They have good vegetarian options. A decent place and not too heavy on the pocket

Have been there many times. Be it solo, with friends, or with lots of friends for a party. I stayed in China for 9years and have been to this restaurant at least 5-6 times. Great place, beautiful decoration and awesome, authentic food! Indians or Indian food lovers- must go here if you are in Shanghai.

Food is good and reasonably priced. Some of their staff is not friendly. Need them to induct new persons. Nice location as its dead in centre of huahai road.

Went here because we love indian food. Can confirm that there are rats in this place, we moved tables because there were rats above us in the ceiling... we should have just walked out. I was the only one of our party to even remotely enjoy my food, one half of the people in our group had significant stomach illness... More

This place is beautiful and cozy. The service is good. The food takes you to India. It's yummy especially the nan bread. I like going back to this place to try different dishes. I recommend it. BTW, the menu of the restaurant is on the website address. I hope you like it !

For Indian food cravings you should try this restaurant. The Service is poor but the food is nice. Good food for the price you pay there.

You can't crave for Indian food more than any other place but China! And to add to that...there aren't many, infact only this 1 which we could find when we started craving for Daal-Rice! It located prime on commercial Huaihai Raod. We tracked this restaurant online and called the owner and he was courteous enough to guide us to reach... More

Staying in People’s Square

Neighbourhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
