Stayed at Le Royal Meridien 9-12 Nov 2015. Booked a Deluxe Room + Breakfast package at RMB 1465 per night. Breakfast was served at Le Bistrot Signature Restaurant at its lobby at Level 7. Good choice of hot and cold breakfast, mixture of international, Japanese, Korean, Chinese cuisines. Good choice of tea selections, coffee, juices, ice cream, fruits, pancakes, waffles,... More

A lovely place to enjoy a Sunday brunch. Lots of choices, from oysters to burgers and delicious lobster from the barbecue on the terrace. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A magician entertained us and drinks delivered from 'cowgirls' I believe on other days it can be nurses supplying the drinks. Lots of fun and good value.

When we arrived the atmosphere was ok, a little too loud because of the DJ music. During all brunch we were served and asked once what we would like to drink, so the free flow here must to be on your own, you have to stand up go to the bar and ask for something to drink…. No service!!!! The... More

Offers a buffet breakfast and also buffet dinner menu that includes beer or wine. Good selection of European and Chinese type food. Help yourself to all you can eat. Good service, not the cheapest but a good price for this type of hotel.

Staying at the Le Royal Meridien, Shanghai we enjoyed the breakfast buffet twice. The food selection was excellent from Chinese breakfast dishes to typical western bacon and eggs (great omelets made from requests), cereals and great pastries and some muffins. But for me the greatest joy was real coffee! Gluten free bread was also available. Take the breakfast package if... More

Best buffet brunch I've had in a while! Lobster, Sushi, Crab, Foie gras, oysters, list goes on.... Let's not forget the unlimited amount of delicious champagne. They even have nurses walk around and inject you with either margarita shots or bloody mary shots! Definitely a great Sunday Funday in Shanghai!!!

First time writing any reviews, but wanted to acknowledge the good food and great service at Le Bistrot restaurant at the Le Royal Meridien hotel in Shanghai. The staff at the restaurant was really great - particularly Senetan (Indian Chef) and the floor manager Kevin. Both went above and beyond with their service and support. Thanks again.

Nice selections for breakfast, they have everything you are looking for....make-to-order egg station, noodle station, wide varieties of bread and pastries, fruit, salad, cold cut, dim sum...... Although it's a very spacious restaurant on the lobby level with plenty seatings, it can get a little crowded especially at around 8:30. Try go there a little earlier or later to avoid... More

Though Shanghia is a metropolitan, buffets at most hotels are disappointing. I would say, Le Royal Meridien does keep up with the standard. Le Royal Meridien is located at the center of the city, just mins away from the bond, and easily accessible by subway line 2. The cafe has an outdoor area.

Staying in People’s Square

Neighbourhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
