I was in a rush for a quick lunch and this place didn't disappoint on speed, taste and quality. As a vegetarian I was pleased they had some options for me, I went with the pumpkin spaghetti which I can recommend. Juices are good, but like most places in Shanghai they are expensive.

Went there after a long travel to Shanghai and really enjoyed their coffee and banana-mango bread. The prices are a little bit high but the food (salads, soups, cakes, ...) look delicious. The music in the café is nice (alternative) and so is the furniture and deco. I am sure you can stay there for a while without getting bothered... More

I usually go to Wagas to work and have a cup of coffee. The food is fine, and you know what to expect. Service is of course at the Chinese standard, but that's alright. They have this carrot cookie which makes my day, as long as it had some time to defrost.

Very nice for people who want eat some mediterranean fast menu, it is not the best mediterranean restaurant but it is nice the fact you can taste so many mediterranean products like macheronni with cheese and ham or chorizo in Shanghai. It deserves to go

I ate here on my first day in Shanghai and ordered the vegetable curry with rice, as well as an Americano. The food was amazing, and the employee also helped me log into the wifi network with his local number, as I did not have a Chinese number. Giving it a 4 because it is definitely on the pricier side... More

I like this eatery. You order at the counter and take a number to your table. Someone then brings your order to the table. I ordered spaghetti boll. It was very good , I also had one of their fesh juices. This was delicious. You can sit inside or outside. Good quality and good value.

Staying in People’s Square

Neighbourhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
