Went with a group and had a great time, enjoyed our meal immensely. Our chef was knowledgeable and professional. Perhaps the wine let could be improved, but the food was delicious.

Visited this restaurant for Dinner recently and being a big fan of the teppanyaki style of cuisine I was eager to see what they had to offer. The location is in a very nice area of Shanghai and the architecture is that of European influence. The restaurant is fine dining and I opted for the Seafood Teppanyaki Set which was... More

A lovely, peaceful location outside. Inside, plenty of space, both physically and architecturally. Good food and god service. Well located in the French Concession within reasonable walking distance of the Metro. the only downside is that it's pretty pricey.

My wife and I enjoyed dinner on a Friday night. We had salad, sashimi, a steamed dish, a fried dish, and vegetable. The food was well prepared, sashimi fresh, and the cooked items were cooked to our liking. The ambiance was romantic, quiet and intimate. The service was excellent. The restaurant is a little pricey, but OK. The neighborhood is... More

The location is very central and lovely at night. We had a private room for a business meal - unfortunately it did't pan out as well as I had expected: the service was alright but the food really was of poor quality and too expensive for what it was! I don't recommend this place at all, there are way better... More

I went a few times for their Saturday brunch and also for their teppanyaki set meals. They always have the best quality and service, also have the shark fin soup and grill kobe beef for their brunch (but only can order once of course, the other you can take as much as you want). The set meal was quite big... More

Had a dinner here with a friend a few days ago and we had one of the sets each. This is not one of the 150-200rmb all you can eat places and should not be compared. Good points: service was swift and professional. Meat was good quality and cooked like we wanted it - good flavor and very tender. Also... More

Once seated I was offered a menu. 15 minutes later, no one had come to take my order, whether a drink or dinner. I just got up and walked out. Never again.

They have a set menu for lunch that is very reasonable and the experience is nice as the meat will be cooked in front of you and the best part is the desert that is quite surprising...I recommend but not sure about prices for dinner...

It has a very convenient place for family and business eatings. Teppanyaki menu gives a full range of quality food but is a little bit pricy which makes it not an everyday restaurant. wine menu is enough. Service is good. Sitting is comfortable without a barbecue smoke. Recommended for business lunch and dinner for giving impression.

Staying in Former French Concession

Neighbourhood Profile
Former French Concession
While there are technical borders to the area formerly governed by the French in Shanghai, the "French Concession" of today is an amorphous neighborhood that is a favorite of the city's foreign residents. While it is mostly within the Xuhui district, residents will sometimes include parts of Jing'an and Luwan in their mental maps of the Former French Concession. The area seems frozen in time, characterized by quiet, tree-lined avenues, French-style villas, interesting boutiques, lively bars and quaint cafes that are not typical of China. All of these mix and mingle with local life as Chinese markets and lanehouse communities are peppered throughout. Denizens of the Former French Concession can spectate a mahjong game on the street or get their bike checked at a tiny bike repair store on the way to their refurbished apartment tucked away among Chinese family homes.
