I was here as part of a group of 12. I have had a lot of Thai food in the past, both in Thailand and outside, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and the ambience in such a built up section of Shanghai. The restaurant is set in a very lovely park-like surroundings and the interior of... More

A very pleasant and flavoursome experience, Nice Thai food, in good surroundings and pretty reasonable value, all 3 of us had different meals and all three really enjoyed our meal

The location is fantastic and the food is good. Service could be more friendly. We certainly go back again but then in the evening.

I visited Bali Laguna after a long time, now called Thai Garden. The food taste, variety was consistent as before and good. The menu is very clear, with photos and numbers to avoid confusion. The location near Nanjing road makes it very easy, and beautiful garden surroundings makes it special.

Another present from the city of Shanghai. I didn't try the food unfortunately, but I have been there for an hour to enjoy some tea. The position is amazing, the way the got this "oasi" in the middle of Shanghai is spectacular. The tea was great. The service is slow, but I didn't care. I needed to rest, to have... More

Food was terrible, let alone authentic. Service totally lacking although more than enough staff. Good place for a quick drink in jingan area, if weather permits, but do not have any expectations.

Thirds visit in three years, the kids requested to go this time and all three said this is their favourite restaurant in Shanghai and even in the world. Me and my wife enjoy it as well, good selection of SE Asian food, relaxed atmosphere.

Love this place which is hidden inside Jing An park but a stone's throw away from all the offices/hotels in the area. It was a beautiful autumn day when we lunched there thus it was super enjoyable with the sunshine and greenery. Service is a tad on the slow side but that did not affect our lunch. The food is... Staying in Jing'an

Neighbourhood Profile
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
