Very nice atmosphere, located in a small shopping area near a wharf and a small amusement center for the younger kids. Plenty of lunch items, desserts, ice cream and few drinks. Definitely a nice place to stop and eat, quiet so that you can have...a conversation while you eat.More

My wife and I decided to try this restaurant for a quick breakfast. We were both pleased with the quality of the food. My wife got a quiche and I got a breakfast sandwich. The prices were reasonable, especially considering it is a specialty shop...at a tourist destination. I would recommend anyone to try it out.More

Stopped by for lunch after looking in the shops and walking down by the marina. There is covered parking behind the storefronts, if spots out front are full. We had a great wedge salad and focaccia panini with tomatoes, basil, mozzarella and balsamic glaze for...lunch. Easy to share, both were fantastic. Local brews were a perfect accompaniment. The Bacon on the salad was of great quality and added a lot. The cucumber salad was also good. Breakfast (and the prices) look exceptional too, so we’ll have to try that next. Super cute on the inside, really nice people working both the counter and waiting the tables. Don’t miss this place!More

This is more than a coffee shop because there's some food and most importantly there's ice cream too! There is a nice outdoor seating area, an indoor area and has tasteful gift shopping as well, it's like a boutique with a nice eclectic and unique...mix with a cool beach vibe. This is a really good place to take a break from the heat or cold when strolling around the Wharf either inside or out. They're open 7 days a week serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee and desserts. For breakfast there's biscuit sandwiches and bagels, plates including scrambled eggs, omelets and French toast, quiche and more. The rest of the days menu has a nice assortment of salads, French onion and soup of the day with burgers, panini, sandwiches, wraps, quesadillas and even a hummus platter. Good assortment of things to munch on and not only do they have a cooler full of hand packed ice creams but there's also gelato, I love some gelato, as well as frappes and smoothies. Now let's talk the star drinks, they've got a nice selection of hot and cold brews, expresso, latte and cappuccino's. For non-coffee's there's Chai latte (my fave here), hot brewed tea (Various Flavors), hot chocolate and vanilla crème. So there's quite a bit to choose from with a little something for everyone. Their coffee is good and so is their teas so it's a bit with me! Bottom line: Friendly service, although slow when their busy, moderate prices, comfy laid back place and a nice gift shop to boot! If I could give 5+ I would! We were looking for a coffee shop with a breakfast sandwich as we were heading back north early on a Friday morning. We needed coffee and a filling to go breakfast and were thrilled to come across Southern...Grind at the Wharf. There is a nice outdoor seating area, an indoor area and a cute gift shop as well. We ordered a honeybee latte with oat milk and a skinny vanilla latte along with a breakfast croissant sandwich (ham) and a breakfast biscuit sandwich (ham). While our coffee and sandwiches were made we looked around the shop. They have candles, kids’ gifts, souvenir items and Christian theme books, journals and devotionals. I could have enjoyed more time there quite easily but our order was ready and we needed to head out. The lattes were hot and delicious! One of the best I have had in a long time and the oat milk was very smooth and creamy! The croissant and biscuit were very fresh and flaky - warm and delicious snd loaded with thick cut ham, fluffy egg and nicely melted cheese. They were amazing and perfect for out morning on the go breakfast! Prices were so reasonable and everything was made fresh! Beat waiting in line at Starbucks for sure!More

My date and I wanted to check out The Grind. Very good coffee. Nice service. Sat outside at tables. Good nut bread muffin. No grits, country ham, or molasses.

Whomever designed this little coffee/ice cream shop knew exactly what they were doing. The colors are the perfect palette for a relaxing place to enjoy coffee or gelato, and just hang out for awhile... when the plandemic is over. Very nice.

The spot itself is very quaint. Seaside vibe for sure with lots of great home decor for sale as well for reasonable prices. The coffee was overly sweet so I had them add an extra shot of espresso after to remedy that and it helped...a lot. The food was acceptable. Not bad, but definitely nothing to write home about. Friendly service.More
