We ate here with friends for Sunday lunch, dining off the hot food line. I had delicious smoked turkey, butter beans, and some other vegetable I can't remember. The cooking is authentic to the way my grandparents ate, that is to say vegetables are overcooked and flavored with bacon. Hubby said fried chicken was overcooked, but we both enjoyed the... More

Started eating here 7 years ago. Service and food remain great. Hamburgers and home fries are so good. Their homemade chill cheese fries are great in the winter. If you're traveling down 331 in opp alabama stop by and see Doc you won't be sorry.

Great food and service! Love their chicken salad sandwich and homestyle fries. Take time to look thru the shop also. Plenty of parking.

Past this restaurant several times and decided to stop this time for breakfast. It has a cute country store and several other buildings to explore, but they were locked so we couldn't look in them. The waitress (only one) was friendly and very attentive. We each ordered something different and were please with each offering. I was disappointed they no... More

Great homemade food with fried cornbread and great HM desserts. But you got to be there before 2pm. Deli closes at 2. The back of the building is larger than the front. Will be stopping again.

One of our regular places to eat. If you like good ol country food this is what you will get. The chicken salad is some of the best I have ever had. My husband loves the cheeseburgers. Employees have always been very helpful. If in the area you have to eat here.

Excellent hamburger! Perfectly cooked. Home cooked fries, onion rings were excellent as well. Several homemade dessert options to choose from. A great stop on a road trip!

We purchased some good homemade ice cream at Doc's; you get a pretty good portion for a good price. They offer chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and peach. The food and other desserts there looked and smelled amazing! We had just eaten lunch at Subway and immediately wished we had waited for Doc's. We plan to go back for lunch in the... More

Driving home from vacation and spotted this quant place that was a throw back in time. Had a great bacon cheeseburger and onion rings. The country store is a gem especially if you are an Alabama or Auburn fan. You should stop for breakfast or lunch if traveling to Destin.
