We took our daughter to dinner at Daniel George last night and had a wonderful meal! The ambience and service were excellent. Our appetizers included the crab claws, crostini and a very nice cheese plate. The entrees included pompano, filet, and rack of lamb. All were perfectly prepared and accompanied by a Mt. Veeder Cabernet. I highly recommend this restaurant... More

Had lunch here last week. Food quality not that good. Cauliflower soup appeared to not be made fresh; it was very thick and almost congealing. Flank steak was OK, generous portion, good sauce accompanying. Coffee whiskey ice cream sundae was unimpressive. Front of house and table service also average. Overall, not the kind of quality you'd expect from a white... More

We chose this upscale restaurant because of it's close proximity to our hotel. We were pleased with the decor & ambiance. However, we waited a VERY l-o-n-g time, for our order to be taken and for our appetizers to be served. While I do understand that this is a fine dining establishment and everything is freshly prepared to your liking... More

Crab claw appetizers- who knew this was a thing! So good!! I think about them often and can't wait to go back. The ambience is nice- it reminds me of charleston sc! And the service was very good. A must go to kind of place ;)

I visited this restaurant for lunch with a group of business associates. I had the beef brisket with 2 sides of sauteed spinach and cucumber feta salad. Professional delicate service and servers will cater for your needs with a perfect smile. Food tasted heavenly.

It's not often that you find a perfectly delightful local restaurant. Well, look no further than Daniel George. It's an upscale but not intimidating small restaurant with subdued lighting and white linen tablecloths. The chefs are amazing, the staff is attentive, and the food is out of the ordinary, with those special touches that let you know special attention has... More

Daniel George is a great venue for a special occasion celebration. The service at Daniel George was exceptional, server had vast knowledge of the menu and drinks. The atmosphere is quaint and not too noisy for nice conversation. the food is good, not the best but very good! there are many normal selections on the menu but also several unique... More

The service is easily the best thing at Daniel George. Everyone that assisted us were very friendly and helpful. Our food was ok. We started with the cheese plate, which was good and well-presented, but a little heavy on the honey drizzle. My husband got the lambchops, which he said were delicious, and I had the seared tuna. My tuna... More

I recently went there with my Dad and brother. The restaurant is in a very nice part of Birmingham called Mountain Brook. The restaurant is very quiet and well decorated. The wine selection was very nice and the food was outstanding. I had the restaurants Duroc Pork Piccata- one of their signature dishes. It was excellent! I would definitely recommend... More

Spring-rolls were not good at all, chicken entree was good, scallop entree ok....food was average as a whole but the desserts were good. Atmosphere is ok. Maybe a drink and dessert would be a much better choice. The food is very much overrated.
