We made a first attempt to eat a street dinner in Chinatown but too many people and too much confusion. We walked around and most of the recommended restaurants are closed for dinner. We found this that seemed reasonable and given that the expectations were low did not go bad at all. Pandam chicken roll, rendang, sambal rice, Nyonya vegetables.... More

We wanted to sample Nonya cooking, the fusion of Malay and Chinese. For my part, if this was typical, it would have been better to have stuck with one or the other... We had some good pandan chicken rolls (like tiny tasty sausages at seven ringette for six) and otak otak (a fish "custard" which garnered mixed reviews at 13... More

After looking around earlier in the evening on our first night for a suitable place to eat, I found that most had closed by 7pm, so this was the only one we could find without going further. There was nothing wrong with the food, but as we found in the following few days, the price was higher than better meals... More

Sitting outside this great little restaurant, watching the world pass by on a Saturday night with excellent Nonya foods and a bottle of anchor. PERFECT. We ordered Nonya Rendang and Nonya Pineapple Pork for mains. Both were beautiful. Perfect blend of spices and went perfect with our Fried rice. For appetiser a small plate of Pandan Chicken was perfect to... More

We were looking for a nyonya food around jonker walk and we stumbled upon far east.. we are hungry so went to the first one we saw. And I regret doing that.. we wasted almost 1.5 hours waiting for our order.. we saw like 3 of the tables walked out because of the ridiculous waiting time.. luckily they have fast... More

Waited almost an hour for food as the restaurant was packed. From taking orders to paying, the waiters were not efficient and clearly lack of manpower to handle large crowd. Food was mediocre and lack of authentic nyonya taste. Curry was blend, fried pork was too dry. Otak-otak was ok but on the spicy side.

We come by this restaurant as we were walking in the jonker walk area. The cafe is old style. We ordered fried nyonya chicken, Assam fish, petai prawn and fried omelette with 2 juices. Total about RM100 Food is ok but not great.

Good Nonya food. We reached the restaurant nearing closing time and the staff went out of their way to help settle us and put some good food into us. The staff were very helpful and recommended excellent food for us even though it was late. We had chicken kapitan, Lemak nenas prawns, fried squid, kacang bendi cincaluk, they were delicious.... This a good place to wind down in the evening. A taste of nyonya setting and cuisine with affordable price tag. However, the food was so-so to me. It's good but I have tasted better.

Really good NONYA food and good service. Just along from night market so good atmosphere outside on pavement too. Delicious food at great value.
