Was in Meleka for wedding dinner. Host booked this restaurant and said the best Chengdol. Total disappointment on the Chengdol. Host has preordered the food so we were supposed to have all their specialty but all the dishes were just very average in taste. I am ok to eat there if I live around there and out of convenience. Definitely... More

Excellent nyonya Malacca home cooked food. The mutton curry is a Must Try! It's tender, full of spices, no mutton smell at all! Another dish is the Sambal Petai, it's superb awesome! The ikan bilis (small fried anchovies) are crispy that goes so well with the fresh petai. A Must Try! Cendol here is good too. The drawback of this... More

We ordered sweet potato leave, steamed chilly fish and chicken pongteh. The chicken and vegetable were very good. The chilly fish was too spicy for us.There are other fish dishes however.I also ordered chendol for dessert and the shaved ice and gula Melaka ( palm sugar) , put in a small cup separately for you, was great! Restaurant offers a wide... More

The reviews I read gave it top marks but I wàsnt impressed by the food. The fried sea bass was so so..the sambal kang kong was ok. Nothing really stood out. The place was packed though with diners even at 3pm long after lunch. The food was not bad but not something I would die die go back to eat.

Food are authentic, reasonably price. Restaurant a bit crowded , as tables are placed quite near to each other. Recommended dishes: itik tim, lemak nenas, and the cendol

Hi Elain386, thanks for coming and for the review. Yeah, olden day Malaccan houses and shops are kind of small so the tables are closer to each other. Do try out the Cili Garam Fish and Lemak Nenas Prawns as well. Thanks. More

Hi Alvin C, thanks for the great review. Yes, our Cili Garam is still a favourite. I love to have the Cili Garam paste with rice no matter what the dishes are. We've also bottled the Cili Garam and it's for sales at our place here. Thanks. More

Nice family themed peranakan restaurant. Nice and friendly staff. Food was tasty but on the pricey side for the portions received.

I was recommended to try this restaurent by my friend. I arrived Malacca and took about 15min to locate this place as its a bit out of town. The taste is really good especially the fried brinjal and the sambal prawn with petai (stinky beans). Chendol is also very good. Service is very good and friendly

The dishes were really delicious. We had the fish tempra, limau purut chicken, pong teh chicken, radish omelette, sambal Ikan bilis. Pie tee was served quite differently, quite nice, but pricey. The sambal Ikan bilis & limau purut chicken was excellent! Full of flavor and really authentic. Not too missed is their sambal belacan,,,,,but it comes with a price,,rm3. We... More
