Had lunch here in November 2016. Went in first time and it was too crowded and staff did not really care if you were there or not so we walked out. Came back another day which was on Sunday and there was hardly a crowd but the service was still poor and most of the food they said were sold... More

We ate at this restaurant as part of a day trip we took from Kuala Lumpur. While the house is very impressive in terms of architecture the food was basic to say the least. There was nothing wrong with it in terms of freshness it was lacking any exciting taste. Service was perfunctory and not even smiling which I found... More

What a shame that our first meal upon arriving was so disappointing. We arrived close to the end of lunch hour and were asked to hurriedly order our food (before we were shown to our table). So, we played it safe and ordered the dishes that are quite common, but they were mostly lacking in taste. Service was not great... More

Perankanan used to be a must do with any visitors I took to malacca given its ambiance and food. Accordingly it was very disappointing on a recent after a few years absence to discover the food iis, at best average with several dishes including the beef rendang being well below average. The one thing it still has going for it... More

We were taken to this restaurant by our tour operator Audley as part of a tour inclusive lunch. Now I guess it must be cheap. The food appeared to be Cantonese stir fry. Perhaps that's what Nonya food is. Best bit of restaurant were the 19th century tiles on the floor.

Having little time for lunch (we had to leave from Melaka in the afternoon) we chose this restaurant because it was close to our hotel. But the choice turned out to be happy also for the food and service quality: the food served was one of the best in our trip to Malaysia, if not the best. There has been... More

Me and my big family was staying in Kuala Lumpur and we decided to take a tour to Melaka. The tour guide brought us to this restaurant for lunch. He said it is the most famous local restaurant in Melaka. We went in, and it was a pretty place and we were starving because traffic in Melaka was one of... More

TLDR; TOURIST TRAP STAY AWAY This was one of the worse restaurants I've ever been to anywhere in the world. Grumpy and sour service (despite the fact that we were the only ones in the restaurant when we walked in so it was not like they were swamped) but I'm in Malacca for the food.. right? Well the food was... More

This restaurant serves authentic Peranakan Cuisine. As per the tradition it has a feel of walking through a home. The interiors have a heritage feel. The food was good. We ordered the traditional Udang Lemak (prawn with gravy) and Ayam Rendang which is a chicken dish and thoroughly enjoyed the food. The service was good. The restauarant is on Heeren... More
