Visited this fine establishment that has plenty to offer to anyone anytime of the year. The Crape Myrtle Cafe is the perfect locale for fine fresh Whole Foods, any kind of crape, or just a great cup of tea or coffee. This is the ideal gathering place for all occasions and definitely the spot the locals go. If you go,... More

We had some delicious food served by friendly folks! You must try this uncrowded gem, situated in a bookstore! Winning combination for a Saturday morning. I also have enjoyed lunch here!

A group of us eats here once a moth after a meeting, and it never gets old. The food is fresh but the service is fast, and when they get to know you, even playful, certainly friendly. It is affordable and always good, in a pleasant ambiance. A short walk carries you into the Little Professor Bookstore with which they... More

I have been coming to Crape Myrtle's, located inside the Little Professor Bookstore, since it opened 23 years ago. I have fond memories of stopping in with my mother after medical treatments to get vegetarian vegetable soup & corn muffins (and, once upon a time, scones) to go. I recently ate lunch at C.M.'s with a friend and was pleased... More

Crepe Myrtle's Cafe is hidden behind a bookstore like a secret. Locals frequent often, and are generally welcomed by name. This is not a fancy eatery and if you dislike plastic cutlery, bring your own utensils, but you will not be disappointed with the food. One of my favorites is the Salmon Salad, very flavorful. My husband enjoys their hamburgers... More

Wow, the guys always get it right. I had the Hearty Breakfast. Salmon with salad and eggs. My wife had half sandwich and soup. The food is fresh, hot and the service is the best. This is a great hidden little spot.

I visit Crape Myrtle's Cafe every single time that I am in Birmingham. The menu is filled with wonderful choices for lunch and brunch. This past week we had a couple of visits and enjoyed the best sandwiches and soups in ages (chicken salad and tomato soup). The other day we had vegetable plates with fresh corn muffins and they... Our family needed a kid-friendly place to celebrate a birthday for lunch. Crape Myrtle's allowed us to make reservations and put several tables together in the sunroom area. You pick up a printed menu, order and pay at the register then take a seat. In our experience, the food is served very quickly. I broke away from my usual favorite... More

I had lunch here and really enjoyed the ambience and the food. I ordered a summer salad with grilled salmon, a cup of homemade vegetable soup, and an ice tea. Everything was delicious, although the sweet tea was a bit too sweet for me and I had to cut it with regular/unsweetened tea. I also enjoyed a cup of coffee... More
