After a morning of wandering & shopping in Lawrence & Morgan counties area, we stopped at Dot's Soul Food for a late lunch. Fantastic again . . . pork chop, chickens, turnip greens, yams, fried corn, mac & cheese! Friendly staff, clean building, great service, the very best food all makes this a great lunch stop.

Now, this is true southern cooking. Portions are generous and so many to choose from it's almost overwhelming. Best soul food cooking around. We ate so much we didn't eat dinner that night! Very friendly atmosphere. They make sure your tea is full and that you don't need anything. This is a restaurant I will return to many times.

We order from Dots on occasion where I work. The fried chicken is great, the dressing is great, and the vegetables are great. It's a great place to eat.

"You can go home again" IF you go eat at Dot's! The is just like Mama's or Grandma's. The chicken 'n dressing, white beans, cream corn, and yams are great. My wife & I agreed that these all tasted just like we used to get at our parents/grandparents. The fried chicken looked great (other diners had it & all that... More

This place is a treasure. From meats to vegetables to desserts, you can taste the love. The staff greet you like family because that is how they see you. The anticipation of the meal is only heightened by the length of the line. As you near the steam tables your mouth begins to water. You scan the dining room for... More

They have a choice of meats (there was catfish, fried chicken, or beef tips and rice on Friday) and two fresh vegetables (black eye peas, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, sweet potatoes) plus bread (roll or mini corn muffins). It was all delicious - the peas were rightly seasoned, and I added a piece of chess pie. Will definitely stop... More

I can NOT travel through Alabama without going to Dot's. My car has a magnetic pull and I end up there every time! It's like going to your Grandma's for Sunday dinner only better cause you don't have to help with the dishes ;) Friendly service and the food is out of this world! Just GO!

Great food for good price! $7.50 for 1 meat and 2 sides. Fried chicken is the best! All sides are delicious. Each day has different menu. Closed on Sat and Mon. Open 11-2 on Sun. Long lines but they move quickly. Lots of seating.
