My wife, and I were visiting for a wedding and wanted to sample some local cuisine and we chose Papa Dubi's. We started with a sampler of sausage and chicken jambalaya, seafood gumbo, and red beans and rice. Three packages of crackers were included. All...very good. My wife had one of the specials, a huge baked potato stuffed with seafood. Her only complaint was that there was so much salt on the outside, like a pretzel, that she took most of it home and washed it off. Her side salad was good. I had the whole hamburger, thinking it would be a whole hamburger as opposed to the half hamburger, which I thought would be one cut in half. The Whole Hamburger was two sandwiches on flatbread with two patties each, and the patties were more than a quarter pound. They came with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mayo. I opted out of the mayo. Fries for the side. Good, crispy fries. The burger were very good, ketchup on the side. Big. I took one home and split it with my son, to whom we brought a salad with blackened chicken. Overall everything was good and we liked what we had. We felt it was authentic Southern fare. Due to COVID, every other booth was in use, tables were six feet apart, and staff members wore masks and gloves, and disposable paper menus were handed out. Even though tables were six feet apart, once people were seated at them the people were not six feet apart, and no other patrons were wearing masks. All seats full, short wait at door. Well-located, strip mall-type parking. We paid by credit. Friendly staff. Our table top covering was torn.More

Decent. Nothing to write home about. Definitely not as good as it was back in the day. Will return but not on my list of favorites.

We have been a couple of times now. Always seated right away and met by very friendly staff. Our food has been DELICIOUS every time, the blackened mahi was wonderful. I'm with the others, don't let the outside fool you... inside has lots of room...and has a great atmosphere for relaxing and enjoying a good meal!.More

This is a great little place - don't let the location fool you. The food is awesome and the service was great. It was recommended to us when we were camping and so grateful to whoever told us.

Red beans and rice were not great. The gumbo was good enough. Being from down on the gulf coast, I may be partial..

I loved this place - the catfish was so good - it was hot to the last bite. My husband had the sampler and said it was all to die for.

Trip Advisor recommendation got us there. First time visit great meal. Friendly staff. Ashley was our waitress and did a great job. Celebrated our 25th Anniversary. We started with Crab cakes. My wife had a ribeye and baked potato cooked perfectly and I had blackened...grouper with Cajun rice with lobster sauce. We finished with some bread pudding. Will definitely go backMore

Was out running errands and thought about Papa Dubi’s. It was 2:30 and I was thinking about dinner. I ordered grilled salmon with the shrimp and crap imperial sauce and the grilled tilapia with the crawfish sauce. It came with rice and salads and I...added a banana pudding. I was greeted promptly and she immediately took my order. I had already reviewed the menu on line. I was told it would be about 15 minutes and there were a few chairs up front that I could sit at. I didn’t time it but I think it was just a tad quicker. When I got home I took the croutons off the salad so they would not get soggy and put everything in the refrigerator. When it came time to eat I realized they had not included the salad dressing I had asked for and although it didn’t matter, no utensils or napkins. Luckily we had some salad dressing. I warmed up each dish for 4 minutes on 1/2 power and it reheated very well. If I do this again I will get the same sauce on both and buy additional sauce to add when reheating. The sauce makes the dish. I would actually considered buying extra crawfish sauce to use on pasta. It’s pretty darn tasty. The banana pudding was light and not crazy sweet and one was just enough to share.More

My wife and I eaten here several times and enjoy this place. Atmosphere is okay but the servers are very good and quick to help. Food is good but portions are small. All in all not a bad place to eat and definitely a good...place for Cajun food. I would recommend this place.More

Arrived alone on a week night to order pick-up. The restaurant was about 2/3 full. Four people, one at a time, came up and asked if they could seat me. Each time I explained that I was there to place a pick up order. Each...time the person left and didn't return to take my order. By the time the third person checked in, I was getting impatient and let them know I wanted to place my order. A fourth person checked in with me after I placed my order. They appear to be primarily set up for in house dining and there is not a good system for take-out. I got the gumbo and the etouffee. Even though it was a pick up order, there was no cuttlery or napkins placed in the bag and I had to go asking for that at the hotel dining room. The large portion was adequate, the small portion was half a cup. Both items were starchy, pasty and relatively nondescript. Surprising for Cajun food. Was my second trip to this restaurant and the first time I went, I thought I hit them on a bad night. Apparently, not. I won't be back.More
