We arrived about 12:15 pm on a Sunday. A fairly long wait line looked intimidating, but actually it took only 20 minutes to be seated. Service is their strong point. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. Menu items that were not in season (certain fish) had comparable in-season alternatives suggested by the server. The food was good, not spectacular, but... Such a nice meal after a long day. I definitely recommend this place! The complimentary bread is so yummy!

I had never eaten here and don't eat seafood, so chicken or hamburger are pretty standard for me. Here are my thoughts *Hostess/cashier was incredibly rude (including rolling her eyes when she almost ran over me and when she couldn't split the check) *$15.99 for 2 thinly sliced chicken breasts that combined still only make up part of 1 but... We go to Orange Beach once or twice a year and usually eat at the same spots. This time we wanted to try new places and this spot did not disappoint! We had several different items in our group of six. The New Orleans catch had tons of etouffe with it. The pane'ed was delicious and so was the blackened... More

This restaurant has very good seafood, but was a little rundown in regards to decor. Service was good and I would probably return based on the food.

Was really excited about going back to De Soto's but was sadly disappointed. Food wasn't up to par as it was last year.

The food is just amazing. There are so many choices fried, broiled, and steamed. The sampler plater will fill a couple and child. Your choices on the menu are vast. This restaurant is fantastic for family, friends and new beach friends. The menu prices are very reasonable. This is a family ran business. You might get lucky enough to be seated by... More

We recently visited Gulf Shores over Spring Break. Our party of 10 were seated almost immediately at dinner time. We had wonderful service & the food was excellent. Some of the items we ordered were, the seafood platter, bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp, crab & shrimp bisque soup, grilled trigger fish & crab stuffed mushrooms. There were no complaints from anyone!... More

We were told to arrive early as there is usually a large crowd. Arrived about 5 pm and had no trouble getting a table outside overlooking a lake. Service and food were both wonderful. They have benches outside of you need to wait. When we left it was more crowded, but still no wait.

Our group of five adults, two kids, chose De Soto's upon a recommendation. A very long wait, but they have some beautiful salt water aquariums to look at, (but nowhere to stand to admire them). The service was very good, but you could tell they were stretched pretty thin. I'm not much of a seafood guy, but my dish was... More
