My wife and I stopped in for dinner this week. No wait for a table. We ordered right away. My wife had the blackened shrimp and grits with a baked potato and salad bar. I had the captains Choice platter with cheese grits and Cole slaw. I considered the red beans and rice but opted for the house specialty grits.... More

Salad bar Good, Hushpuppies Good, Tea Good But the BOILED SHRIMP was excellent. You make your own sauce at the table. We hate here overtime we are in town. Reasonably priced.

I have always been partial to the Oyster House in Mobile, but now I feel the one in Gulf Shores is at least it's equal. The service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. It was very busy, but still I received my food within 15 minutes or so. Got to sit by the water and watch the blue herons... More

We enjoyed our meal at the oyster house. The seafood was fresh and excellent and the salad bar fresh and well stocked. The prices were reasonable for a tourist area. The best part of our meal was experiencing the beautiful sunset over the bay. We recommend a stop here if you love seafood like we do!

Has been and still is the best resturnt in Gulf Shores! We had delicious baked Parmesan oysters that were to die for along with the famous and never dissappoonted shrimp and grits. We went around 5 to miss the usual crowd. Service was great as always.

Found food and atmosphere to be very pleasant. Had the grilled snapper and what I recall to be baked oysters with the cheese topping. Was very good. Enjoyed our visit. Plan to dine again on our next trip to Gulf Shores.

Not the fresh local seafood we hope for. Smells fishy when you go in. The shrimp au gratin is tiny Salad shrimp and the fish is Swai. Salad bar is fresh but nothing special. Cheesy grits were great though!

You have to understand that I had spent 8 months in a culinary wasteland before eating here so I admit to some over-enthusiasm. The food is flavorful and there are a LOT of choices. Usually I don't like places that have a large menu or that clearly cater to a heavy volume of customers. This place is definitely an exception... More

Let me start this review by saying this is now mine and my husband's favorite place in the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area. My husband, myself and our 2 year old were here on a Wednesday afternoon around 2pm (after the lunch rush). Food was great and our waitress (Brandy) was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu and made GREAT... More

This is an absolute mainstay for sea food in Gulf Shores. An original that hasn't lost its roots. Expect it to be busy but you can relax in the adjoining shops. Great anytime!
