My wife and I live in Olinda and we discovered this restaurant in the Pousada de Amparo long ago. We've been a number of times for a romantic dinner or a relaxing breakfast. There are lovely views over the old town and the food is AMAZING! Our favourites are the carpaccio starter, seafood penne / or the duck for the... More

Our evening meal at Flor do Coco was wonderful. An intimate and romantic setting overlooking the garden with the lights of Recife in the distance. The food was excellent, especially the seafood penne, unforgettable. Friendly and attentive waiting staff.

We went for dinner twice. Expensive for northeastern Brazilian food but tasty and well prepared. Both times we went, dinner was delicious. Service was attentive and not obsequious. The second time was because there are not a lot of places to eat dinner out on Monday nights. The town relaxes from the weeekend. But it was definitely good enough the... More

Food was excellent, service charming and a little slow but this is a characteristic of the region. Nice view over small garden and pool, very intimate. Great deserts and charming service. Strongly recommended for experiencing the local cuisine in a laid back atmosphere.

The food was excellent. We had shrimp and steak carpaccio for starters, then chose a moqueca with shrimp and fish in a passionfruit sauce; fish cooked, and shrimp penne pasta and we were hard pressed to decide from the choice of desserts. I had a fondant- chocolate cake with lots of chocolate sauce and ice cream which was gorgeous. Others... More

I have been at Flor do Coco several times, always for dinner. I really like this restaurant: very cosy, rustic, with that nice ambient created by low lights and candles to go with the view. Staff is polite and service is normally quick. It is a bit pricy, but the quality make up for it. This time, I came for... More

This must be the best restaurant in Olinda! A beautiful setting, good food and a nice wine list. This was all a good experience, but the service was a little slow. But with this excellent ambience we will definitely be back! I really recommend it!

This little gem is at the back of the Pousada do Amparo. Ate there twice, once on a late night arrival. The grilled fish was very good, my wife had the asparagus soup and the salmon. She liked it so much it is what she had on the second visit. I had the filet au poivre in a very tasty... More

Sat down in a romantic setting with lovely wine list and abundant menu. The filets were first on the list and after deliberation between fish, duck and filet, we both chose different versions of the filet. We began ordering... Sorry no filet. .. Really? Oh well back to the menu drawing board. How do you run out of filet?

Thank Eric G
