This age old north kolkata sweet shop is famous for Bengali Sandesh, I have tried almost all the varieties (norom pak) of Sandesh. They are soft, milder and amazingly flavourful sweets one can have. Every bit of it is authentically Bengali. Sidhartha

While their sweets are certainly amongst the best in Kolkata, the behavior of the people needs to improve. May be too much of publicity has made them rude and unprofessional. I would have to start looking for another alternative if their behavior doesn't change.

"The green-grilled mishti shop at 56 Ramdulal Street is simply called Nakur, short and (very) sweet. Peering through the iron, glasses perched on his nose, Victor picks up one of their best-selling items, Jol Bhora Norom Pak, gives them a thumbs up, and gulps down the sandesh. From a two-item menu consisting of Kada Pak and Monda back in 1844, to 2010 where Chocolate Sandesh can compete for the number one spot, Nakur has come a long way." -- The Telegraph.
