This very old sweet shop is still the number one when it comes to sweets both among the locals and tourists.Sweets made fresh, come in trays and disappear immediately.Special mention to their Chocolate varieties sweets like Black forest,Chocolate sandesh etc.Rate is very very reasonable for the quality they have.

We had various types of sandesh, most notably the Jol Bhora & Blueberry ones. There's also chocolate samosa which we tasted. It is costlier when compared to local sweet shops but the quality is the best, hence no worries. Fun fact : Even chef David Rocco visited this place and tasted their sweets.

An unique blend of Taste, tradition and quality has placed "Nakur" in a different level. One who wants to taste Sandesh of Kolkata must visit this place. "Aam Sandesh" i.e Sandesh with mango flavour is highly recommended.

Description
"The green-grilled mishti shop at 56 Ramdulal Street is simply called Nakur, short and (very) sweet. Peering through the iron, glasses perched on his nose, Victor picks up one of their best-selling items, Jol Bhora Norom Pak, gives them a thumbs up, and gulps down the sandesh. From a two-item menu consisting of Kada Pak and Monda back in 1844, to 2010 where Chocolate Sandesh can compete for the number one spot, Nakur has come a long way." -- The Telegraph.
