Need to go try this restaurant as my favorite Food youtuber talk about it. Famous Parsi food, the chicken berry pulao was awesome. But we sat on the little mezzanine and was sooo hot. Didn't meet the owner as i imagine was because of the busy rush hours. Going to the bathroom was a experience by itself, passing throw the... More

OVERALL: This famous Parsi restaurant doesn’t disappoint. If you want to try some favourites and some different flavours of India, should pop by when in Mumbai. We had a lovely meal, complete with entertainment from the lovely, elder owner, who when there, makes it a point to stop by the tables and chat with his customers. COST: 2200INR for 3... More

Britannia is a Bombay institution! Its only open for lunch between Monday and Saturday. Be prepared to queue up for a table. The food will not disappoint. The fragrant and sweet berry pulao, spicy salli boti and parsi rotis will make you want to come back for more. The interaction with 90+ year-old owner is priceless! Love this place!!

Chicken Berry Pulao continues to be the best dish amongst many other. Britannia has been around for a very long time. One can expect the owner, to come & start a conversation. I have been visiting since my childhood days...but perhaps, this could be my last visit to them...due to below. All in all, everything is good. Only grouse, being.....even... More

I put this place on my Mumbai to-do list after hearing great reviews. And it did not disappoint. This total Parsi dining experience greeted us with the 'no digital currency accepted' board outside and a 10 minute waiting on a Saturday afternoon which we skipped as we agreed to share a table. Their food is much talked about is limited... More

One amongst the last few remnants of the Irani-Parsi cafeteria, Britannia is a metaphor for the old European style business district situated in south Mumbai. Ballard Estate was named for Colonel J. A. Ballard, a founder of Mumbai Port Trust (MBT). The interiors transport you back to 1923 when the restaurant was founded by an Irani immigrant. He was the... More

Though I am married to a Parsi, I have not eaten something called a Berry Pulav anywhere but here. None the less and even though I doubt is authenticity as a Parsi dish it is one of my favorite things to eat and one that I would travel all the way from the suburbs to the end of town to... More

We ate here on the recommendation of our hotel, and were intrigued as it's one of the inspirations for Dishoom in London (a restaurant chain we enjoy). We weren't disappointed. Food was great - had the paneer berry pulao which was unusual, fresh, delicious, and a salted lime soda as well as the famous creme caramel. We were lucky to... More

We had heard about the place and how iconic it is. A hundred plus years old and named in honour of the British Empire! Yet, not British food - which in India and indeed, in most parts of the world - might be a hard sell but rather, Parsee cuisine! Naturally, we needed to discover it and found it located... More
