The Saturday Buffet lunch is a visual delight. The spread is so well put that you first eat with your eyes. The dessert counter was absolutely divine looking and it tasted just as good..Food wise most dishes were extremely flavoursome. The chicken wanton soup was bland and that was the only dish that was lacking, A few specials of the day arrived at... Have tried brunch in major restaurants across Mumbai, sadly this one being most expensive of all and doesnt meet expectations. Ambience- perfect 5 stars. Spread is limited. Some items were cold. Ham & turkey were well cooked. Nothing special with Mutton Kheema and Prawns curry. Aloo tikki was a piece of mashed boiled potatoes only. Food is mainly to the... More

Decor looks good. Service good. Menu is reasonable. Limited options of starters for vegetarians but good enough. The Rajma Chawaal was very good.

Well, went there for the 2nd time after it's been renovated, on Wednesday. Refreshing decor and the outdoor area looks wow. Coffee and tea were excellent. Margherita Pizza was dry and bland, same went for the chicken kathi wrap - which by the way was supposedly a signature dish on the menu! Pau bhaji was great as usual. We did... More

As expected from the Taj, hospitality was amazing. One of our friends wanted a gluten-free dinner and the chef himself came and recommended dishes. The atmosphere was relaxed. Food was delicious. Only glitch was the served quite slowly and our friends were a bit pressed for time.

Lively and busy place to eat, quite a nice vibe if that's what you're looking for, food quite good but the alcohol is very expensive so be careful, I think I paid £25 for a Gin and Tonic?

Staying in the Taj, one is spoilt for choice in the way of food. With a number of high end restaurants. Shamiana has a varied menu with more reasonable prices. We eat here twice during our stay, the first time was late on our arrival then a more layed back meal later in the week. Staff were attentive and helpful,... More
